I'm assuming there is a valve that is supposed to auto-shutoff when the filter is removed. What part needs replacing? The proper procedure for removal and re-installation of the John Guess Fitting is as follows: To remove: Push the line in and hold the ring in, then, while holding the ring in, pull the line out.
