How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008281 / WP3387747 Dryer Heating Element

First I ordered the element through a big box store. The wrong part after waiting a few days. Did not fit. No refund. Then I found Appliance Parts Pros on the internet. Ordered the part from them. Perfect fit. Dryer like new again. Will not forget 

Repair parts from appliancepartspros. Dryer Heating Element and Thermal Cut-Off Kit. Did not use Thermal Fuse (disposable, One Time Fuse). 

Replaced the dryer heating element. The other element was burned out and no longer heating. Took the dryer apart, vacuumed out the lint/dust. Even though I clean the dryer trap after each load it is amazing how much lint/dust was inside the unit which I now understand how dryers can catch on fire. 

Took the dryer apart and found the heating element broken. Easy repair, replacement element was perfect. Thanks AppliancePartsPro.com for the fast shipping and great quality product. 

My husband and I had a difficult time finding a video that talked us through the step by step instructions for our Kenmore dryer...finally we were able to locate one on YouTube. The heating element was “bad.” We ordered the part from Appliance Parts Pros. We chose the standard shipping, ordered on Saturday and delivered the following Tuesday. The replacement was a breeze. The most difficult part was taking out & putting back in the screws. Even though this site had the part for our model, the video didn’t show our actual model, whereas in the past the videos looked like our appliance. So far we have repaired a dishwasher, washer, and now dryer. Thanks Appliance Parts Pros! 

Ordered replacement part from AppliancePartsPros.com. Removing the heating element from the housing was not as straight forward as slipping out the old one and inserting the new. My model did not have the screw apart housing. The fit is understandably quite snug and required some persuasion. 

Installed heating element. 

My daughter replaced the element, she has repaired her own a couple of times and brought the needed tools. She gave me the company name and I ordered the part early Mon. morning. The part was at my door early TUESDAY afternoon! There was some difficulty with clips/fasteners. Thanks to all of you folks at AppliancePartsPros.com. I flipped it forward to get to the element. I was able to remove and replace the dryer heating element with some effort.
