How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4399659 / 8269144A Drain Hose

Removed Drain Hose. Filled with sludge, and rinsed it out. Replaced Drain Pump. Which failed too. It's been 3 years since I've paid for any service contract. AppliancePartsPros.com changed everything for me. 

I replaced a leaking dishwasher drain hose. The replacement went fairly well. I was disappointed in that the new hose had a straight connection going to the drain pump. It snapped together with a pin. 

I follow the steps in the video. The only difficult part occurred when I tried to remove this hose from the part that goes to the drain pump. After 12 years being there it was hard to remove. A neighbor helped me moving the moldy section up and down. I was moving it laterally and it didn't separate. But the up and down movement did the trick. 

Replaced with new drain hoses. 

I purchased a used dishwasher. It was missing the drain hose extension. I found the part in less than two minutes on AppliancePartsPros.com. Ordered and received in three days.
