How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6013208 / WP8558753 User Interface (Platinum)

I checked everything i could to find the problem and had to tack it in to an appliance repair shop. they charged me $50.00 to diagnose the problem. they said it was the control board and it would cost $350.00 to fix it, so i brought it home and ordered one on line for under $150.00. it was shipped 6 to 7 day delivery. i received it in three days and in less than 30 minutes i had my dryer going like new. i am very pleased with appliance parts pros.com 

I talked to the customer support people and confirmed the control board and P/N. Within 30 minutes of starting the repair, it was working as new and has continued to operate as normal. 

Dryer would stop turning on, wait or unplug it and it worked for a while. First replaced the thermistor and that didn't work. Diagnostic mode worked fine and manual recommended replacement of Control Board. Ordered from Appliance Parts Pros because of the 365 day refund guarantee. Replaced board and again nothing. Re-installed old control board. While searching website for electronic control assembly, I checked the other repair stories and found the same exact issues. Appliance Parts Pros credited my account and sent the electronic control assembly. Replaced it and reassembled in about an hour. Has worked fine ever since. Wish I had checked more repair stories earlier, would have saved a lot of time.
