How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP7244933 / W11729596 Ice Maker Field Install Kit (Tm, Sxs)

Watched the video. Unpacked the icemaker. Read the directions. Moved some food out of the freezer. Removed the 1/4 "screw from the bottom of the old icemaker. Loosened the upper two 1/4" screws. Pulled the old icemaker loose. Disconnected the electrical connector. Plugged the connector on the new icemaker into the freezer. Routed the icemaker over the fill tube and onto the upper two screws. Tightened the upper two screws and installed the lower one. Made sure it was level. Placed the ice tray under the icemaker. Let the bale arm down. Put the previously removed food back in the freezer. In about 20 minutes, checked the icemaker and saw it was filled correctly with water. In less than an hour - ice. The whole installation process took about 7 minutes. Easiest homeowner repair project I've ever encountered. 

Replaced Defrost timer and air tower in the freezer. Also added a new automatic ice maker. Everything installed very well and quite easily. The refrigerator works and looks like new again. Happy Wife! Happy Life!!! Thanx for everything, Allen

After watching a few videos on YouTube by AppliancePartsPros.com, I determined that I needed to replace the ice maker So I ordered one from AppliancePartsPros.com. Primarily following the YouTube video by AppliancePartsPros. I replaced the old ice maker with a new one in a few minutes. Within 24 hours, ice production resumed and the ice maker is now producing ice again. 

My fix went perfectly. Unplugged the old one from the freezer and installed the new one in about 10 minutes. Within about 2 hours we had ice again. And it is quieter than the old one! 

I bought a new fridge, and it did not come with an ice maker. AppliancePartsPros.com comes through again! Super easy install.
