How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP7244933 / W11729596 Ice Maker Field Install Kit (Tm, Sxs)

The old ice maker gave up the ghost. The website at AppliancePartsPros.com made it easy to find the correct part for my freezer make/model. The new ice maker was shipped the next day and arrived very quickly. Drop-in replacement. Very happy with APP! 

I ordered the new ice maker from AppliancePartsPros.com. It arrived within three days. My son had said to call him when it arrived. He would come and install it for me. He lives an hour away. After reading the installation instructions, I thought I can do this. Now, I am a 72-year-old widow and it took me about 30 minutes to install the ice maker. I called my son a few hours later and told him not to come. I was already sipping on ice tea! 

I ordered and received in one day, the necessary ice maker kit. Although it took me a lot more then 30 minutes I completed the install and had a bin full of fresh and clear ice cues the next day! 

Removed the old ice maker and installed the new one. Pump was fine so did not have to change it. 

Replaced the ice maker. I would've given 5 stars but the packaging came damaged. The styrofoam supports inside were broken up and the box itself was crushed a bit. Fortunately, there was no damage to the unit and materials themselves. The unit works as expected.

Ordered and replaced ice maker. The ice maker fit fine. I had to use the old wire and plug. easy to switch out. Works great 10 min repair 

Our refrigerator did not come with an icemaker originally. This one was a perfect fit and very easy to install. The video was extremely helpful.
