How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6037202 / W10918546 Oven Igniter

After finding the AppliancePartsPros.com site, I was able to determine that the issue must be the ignitor. Ordered the part and to my surprise, Fedex delivered it in less than 24 hours. Followed the video instructions on replacement. Exactly as described!! Took the opportunity to thoroughly clean everything while apart. Easy to put back together. Oven works like new. 

This is the second igniter.They last 2 or more years. Both times I had to swap plug ins. EASY PEASY 

I’ve had to change this part 3 times on this oven. It’s very easy and only takes about 20 minutes to do. 

Replacing the igniter would have been VERY EASY and should of taken 15mins, but the screws holding the old igniter didn't want to come out, so I ended up having to replace them too, which added some time (total 45mins). Once the new igniter was installed, the oven was back up and working great!

Ordered the parts and even had a how to fix it video and fixed it in less then half an hour. It cost way less then having a repair person come fix it. Would recommend and even use again! 

Simple replacement was needed. Part came quickly to the house. Took about 15 minutes. Used videos to make sure I knew what I was doing. 

I did a google search online to see what may have caused my gas oven to stop working. I found out that a possible cause could be that I needed to replace my oven igniter. I did a price check to see how much it would cost for a new oven igniter. (If it cost too much, then I was going to consider buying a new gas oven.) I checked the price on AppliancePartsPro.com.
