Replaced the rubber sleeve which the parts list called "Injector Valve." Amazing that this thin rubber-like part lasted 38 years of steady use before it broke! Cannot really understand why such thin "rubber" was used for this part, but suspect the fitting is part of anti-syphon protection. This is only second part we have had to replace on the Maytag A806 washer. It is a sad commentary on what the global consumer market has done that the quality and durability of this machine is unavailable today at any price. Gee thanks Consumers Reports for driving the constant "buy new" syndrome.
In any case, the part from AppliancePartsPros.com came quickly and was exactly what we needed.
