Cynthia F Bellaire , TX November 05, 2024 Appliance: Jenn-Air Freestanding-Double Oven-Dual Fuel JDR8895AAS The buttons on the control panel stopped making a sound when pushed the timer stopped working and then i began hearing a sizzling crackling sound even when the stove was not in use I took the back off and saw there was an area of the circuit board that looked like something had melted. The replacement control panel arrived in 2 days and took about 20 min. to install. Easy peasy! Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

John P Maryville , TN December 01, 2023 Appliance: Jenn-Air Freestanding-Double Oven-Dual Fuel JDR8895AAS Control board fried. Ordered a new control board on Monday. Came the next day. Installed it Friday. I recommend detaching the bad control board with wires intact. Then attach the new board and one by one remove the plugs and plug into the new board. Looks a little scary but if done this way you can’t confuse the locations of the plug-ins. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers
Christopher M Murrieta , CA February 04, 2020 Appliance: Model JENN AIR DUEL FUEL STOVE W/ TWO OVENS Computer oven control stopped working. Oven would shut off on its own and the unit was beeping indiscriminately for no reason at all. Replaced the control board. It took me a little longer to complete the job as I carefully cleaned everything on the stove once I had it apart. I also tie wrapped some of the wiring harnesses to keep them together on the routing. I marked all the wire bundles before disassembly so there would be no mistakes. It was a very easy job, just a little time consuming wrestling the stove out of its nook. Everything works fine now. Read More... Jim P Westford , MA July 16, 2019 Appliance: Model JENNAIR DUAL FUEL OVEN Oven went dark and unresponsive Bought control board, when I took off back upper cover saw the culprit immediately, a capacitor had fallen out of its soldered socket and was laying on a sheet metal bracket. (not fixable by me!), the new board went in fine, had to watch a youtube video on removing the ribbon cable, but the connector transfers went fine, took an hour when all said and done. Take photos of the connectors to help transfer, but they are all foolproof anyway, with unique pin patterns so you can't put a plug in the wrong place. Some needle nose pliers helped remove some of the connector plugs (being careful not to break anything), at least if you break something, it is on the bad control board anyway which is being discarded. Rick M Newberg , OR December 08, 2018 The control panel on my Jenn Air dual fuel double oven stopped working. The second hardest part of the fix was finding the screws that needed to be removed; the hardest was replacing screws in the bottom-front of the control panel cover. Once the control panel was accessible, the replacement was simple! The only reason it took me as long as it did, was because I didn't know what screws to remove, then had to undo some of my reassembly when I discovered I hadn't put the control panel cover all the way over the back panel of the stove. If I knew what I was doing, it probably would have taken about 30 minutes. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Screwdrivers, Socket Set
