I looked up the most likely cause of the water overflow into the ice maker, and the most likely cause of dripping after the valve should be closed is a valve leak. This was explained well in the Youtube video from Appliance Parts Pros. I ordered the part on Wednesday before Thanksgiving and it arrived on Friday after thanksgiving. (Two day arrival time.). I rolled the fridge out from the wall, opened the screws just like the video demonstrated, unhooked the old valve, and installed the new one in its place. The removal of the water lines from the valve worked just like in the video, and the reconnections went back in the same way. This was a 30 minute fix for my ice maker and the total cost to me was $60 for the valve and an easy15 minutes of repair time for me. It took me longer to clean under the fridge than to replace this part. The bonus was that it did not cost $200 to have a repair person come in to make this 15 minute repair.
