First I watched at least three different videos on how to replace this part. To begin with, I was led to expect an instruction sheet inside the package; there wasn't, but no big deal. When I was ready, I pried the cap off easily, and with some difficulty I was able to loosen and remove the 7/16 inch bolt. The agitator would not budge, but in some videos it wasn't necessary, so I didn't try very hard. After a lot of wiggling and pulling the old cam and dogs came out, along with two other pieces not in the videos that were apparently sitting on top of each other inside the agitator. After trying to figure out how they were supposed to be attached to anything or to each other, I put them aside. The old dogs were in pieces that spilled all over the place when I pulled the cam. This is obviously the problem I was having. I installed the new dogs in the new cam, placed the two unexplained pieces back in position and set the cam and dogs in on top of them. I was having a little trouble with the bolt: the socket didn't fit it too well and it looked like it might slip. I did a little math, chose the 11 mm socket, and found it to be a nice snug fit on the bolt, so I used that socket to reinstall the bolt. I put on the cap and found the agitator was moving very smoothly in the direction it was supposed to, and clutched very firmly in the opposite direction like it was supposed to. After a test rinse and one load of laundry, it appears to be working just perfectly now.
