How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6005780 / WP21001950 Motor Assembly

Piece of cake. Uninstalled old, put new in done! 

I watched a YouTube video from your Appliance Parts Pros to determine what the problem was with my washing machine. I replaced the belt and the motor assembly and BAM, it was fixed! 

It was simple the video was a big help.. 

Referred to the diagnostics in the appliancepartspros.com website and determined the cause was a burned-out motor (bearing seized and burnt windings). Also suspected it may also have been caused by a worn transmission thrust bearing. Ordered both parts from appliancepartspros.com and received then promptly. Following the video instructions on the website, the repair was accomplished within 30 minutes. The motor was a very simple "remove/replace" and the thrust bearing replacement was also very easy. I'd rate the difficulty as either a "1" (very easy) or "2". GREAT VIDEOS!. Very pleased with the quick delivery and very detailed video instructions! 

It was quite easy to order the part and then I watched the video on appliancepartspro.com and it took me about 30 minutes to take the old one out and install the new one. Pretty easy for a novice. Saved me hundreds of dollars of having to buy a new washing machine. 

Replaced the motor. 

As soon as the motor / part arrived which was only a few days . It was the exact same motor I had removed and once that was established it tooke all of 15 min. To install and she was up and running as both as when it was new. Perfect . Much better than spending $2,000 on two new machines. Thank you. Jimmy 

I ordered a replacement motor & new belt. It came within the two day delivery. Thanks to your video, I had the motor and belt removed previously and installed the replacement as soon as it arrived, because our dirty clothes were beginning to pile up. The replacement fit perfectly as did the belt. The washer was put back in use and works great. Thank you Appliance Parts Pros! 

I didn't catch the pump screaming until later causing my motor to stop completely. The motor worked after taking the belt off but it smelled like burnt windings and replaced both so I wouldn't have to change it later. I ordered parts Friday morning and they were on my front porch Saturday afternoon, (unbelievable). Changing the parts was very easy and took about 50 minutes.
