How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6024038 / WPW10757217 Circulation Motor

New circulation water pump and a new filter/food chopper. Thanks to both videos for each part...it helped tremendously. 

First I tried diagnosing the problem by reading the forum stories. I had previously replaced the chopper unit so it had to be the circulation motor. Then I watched the video specific to replacing the motor and decided I had the tools and know-how to complete the repair. I ordered the motor that arrived the next day (California). Not mentioned in the video was to be sure to remove the baseboard plates and retract the leveling legs in the front in order to extract the unit from the cabinet. Also, there is plenty of residual water in the sump, so get towels. The video clearly detailed changing out the motor, which was the easiest part of the process. The dishwasher is 16+ years old and now runs like new. 

I ordered the pump from you guys, watched your instructional video and replaced it. The repair went very well. Thanks to you. 

So, I almost replaced the washer - KitchenAid Model KUYDP02CRBL1. Over the years, with the help of AppliancePartsPros.com, I've been able to keep it working. Our dishwasher no longer left the dishes clean. Upon further investigation, we noticed that the machine would start by pulling water, etc but after a while, it would go into a drain mode, then turn off. We never heard it actually circulating water and confirming the same other than the pooled water at the bottom of the washer. At one point, there was a 'blinking' clean light indicator. After doing the resets and restarting the problem continued. With some research, the most likely cause was the circulation motor. While I was at it, I also replaced the dishwasher Food Chopper. It was super easy, I had the job done in about an hour. We tested the unit and whala the machine was working exactly as it should. 

We replaced the Circulation Pump Motor due to corrosion and the driver for the food chopper was damaged. Replaced the food chopper. Replaced one O-ring in one of the water fittings attached to the sump housing. 

Changed it myself, with the help of an instruction video. 

I replaced the circulation motor and the food chopper. 

Replace the circulation pump motor & chopper. The motor took ten minutes to change, but pulling the dishwasher out & in took two hours. The chopper gave me more trouble than it was worth. The unit is quiet & the dishes are coming out cleaner. Disassembled the motor & the front bearing had denigrated & the seal had been weeping for a long time. Following the video the repair was quick and easy. The dishwasher has very sharp metal frame and can cut you fingers very easily. I strongly recommend wearing gloves and shown in the repair video. 

Replaced the device within two hours. Worked perfectly.
