How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3104565 / 4342528 Oven Bake And Broil Igniter

I ordered a new igniter from appliancepartspros.com. I can honestly say while I expected great service, I was amazed. I selected the regular shipping instead of the lowest level, and it estimated arrival time was 4 days, which was normal and fine. I received my new igniter within 24 hours all the way from KY, and I'm in CO. I was quite frankly completed shocked. The repair took me 5 mins total and my oven works just fine again. 

Unplug the oven and turned off the gas line, I took apart the door the bottom plate inside the oven and the metal covering over the igniter. I unplugged the igniter from the oven which is located under the oven, I unscrewed the igniter and removed it and then I replaced it with the igniter that I purchased. After I screwed it into place I plugged it into the receptacle attached to oven. Before putting everything back together I plugged in the oven turned on the gas and preheated the oven. The igniter glowed and it worked. Then I put back on all the parts including the door which was tough as I did not do something to the door that I should have before I removed it. You need to keep the door in the open position and put two nails in the small opening on each hinge for my model in order to keep the hinge open a certain amount so that later you can put it back into place and it goes in easier. 

With the oven bake igniter. It was very simple. 

Replacing the Ignitor. 

It literally took less than 15 minutes to replace the defective igniter. The first one shipped was defective. Melody sent a replacement immediately and that was perfect. 

I found the right part, ordered it, installed it, and have a working oven again. 

Replaced igniter. 

I ordered an oven igniter. It was very easy to replace, it took 30 minutes only because we cleaned the oven a bit also. 

Replaced the oven igniter. 

I had no luck with going to a few of our local Big Box stores in the area as well as hardware stores so went online and found my part needed in a list from AppliancePartsPros.com . They even had a box to check and see if their part would match/fit my model stove. Very quick and accurate as well as easy to order.
