How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6023956 / WPW10730972 Washer Water Pump

After ruling out blockages in all the likely places and observing and hearing the pump struggling to start, I decided to replace it, which took less than 10 minutes once I received the pump (which arrived via standard delivery in 2 days). So far the washer is operating flawlessly and the sounds I was hearing have stopped. 

My washer wasn't draining. After checking that the pump filter was clear, I google searched the error codes. I realized the pump was likely bad. After watching the replacement video on the appliancepartspros.com website, I ordered the replacement pump. The pump arrived two days later. The install was 30 minutes. Great site, great products. As like before with dealing with Appliance Part Pros, received excellent help from the lady I talked to about my washer issue. The code, F9E2 indicated a water pump problem, to which I would not have known until the gal I talked with on the phone told me, She helped me order the right part and I got it in 2 days. Watched the video on their site which helped me replace the pump in less than 10 minutes. I am very much impressed with this company. 

Followed my son's direction, got on the Internet , checked out prices, made sure the part was the right part using wash machine number, doubled checked by asking questions, and ordered pump. Pump came in two days. Jake installed it in less than 10 min. And we have done six washes already. Same part sold for almost twice as much on other web sites.

Replaced pump 

My husband ordered a water pump from Appliance Parts Pro. He took the lower panel in the front of the machine off. He drained the tub thru the clean out screen on water pump. Unplugged the washer and removed the connection, next removed the hose clamps and then removed the pump. Installed new pump and hoses and two new hose clamps. Reconnected the pump and plugged it back in and I ran a load and it worked fine. Checked for leaks, put panel back on. 

Watched and followed your video. Was DEAD ON!! Great step by step instructions. 

Fixing it was so simple! I was really glad for the video that was provided via internet on the website. It really made the repairs easy and so simple. I will always order parts from ApplianceParts Pros.com from now on and will recommend friends. This site that I stumble onto was a blessing.
