How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6023956 / WPW10730972 Washer Water Pump

I got online and watched YouTube videos to determine it was the pump & filter and then had the good fortune to go to AppliancePartsPros.com to purchase the replacement. I chose them because they had the best price, but right on the page where I ordered the pump is their video showing exactly how to replace the pump. The pump was shipped the day I bought it and delivered two days later. I watched the video on the AppliancePartsPros.com website showing exactly how to replace the part and in a very short time the washer was fixed and has now run many loads just like it did when it was new. Thank you AppliancePartsPros !!!! 

A very simple fix thanks to the video provided. Took a little longer than expected. I would recommend connecting the power wire to the pump or at least opening the protective hood before pump install. I had the pump in then could not get the wire plugged in. Still not bad , took about 30 minutes. 

Replaced it with a new pump. Can not believe that changing the pump made the washer run so much quitter than the original pump. 

I went online and the Searspartsdirect website kept popping up. I had googled the part number and the google people must get a lot of money from Sears as it popped up on top. Then I saw the Appliancepartspros link and jumped to it. First off the part was significantly cheaper, not dinner at McDonalds cheaper, nice dinner, movie and a nite-cap cheaper. I placed the order, it arrived in less than half the time that was quoted. Under promise, over deliver, what a great way to do business. It took me less than 15 minutes to install, I had a few funny little gyrations, mostly my fault, a quick call to tech support and a chat with a tech, at 8:30pm on a Thursday night. A tech...on the phone...NO CHARGE....at 8:30 pm.......Are you kidding? Thats just insane. Viola...Machine is working again. I do not know how to say this without sounding like a moron, however, I am almost hoping the machine will break again so I can deal with an absolutely astounding company again. Appliance parts Pros, you guys rock. FYI I am a Master Carpenter, as a person who has had to deal with customer service and support companies for over 40 years I have never run into a company as well run, as thoroughly capable, and as simply amazing as you guys. Thanks. 

Ordered new one,put it on and works great.I want to say that I am amazed that I ordered the part on a Friday afternoon around 4:00p.m. and received it at 11:48 on Saturday. Not even 24 hours!! That was awesome!! 

New pump & motor assembly arrived in a couple of days. The motor appeared to be upgraded and more robust than the old one. The actual job of replacing the part took about 5 minutes, not counting the time it took me to find my Dremel tool with cut-off wheel to remove permanent factory hose clamp, and replace it with a screw type hose clamp. 

I googled the make and model number of the washer and error code that was showing and a YouTube video appeared showing how to replace the pump. Appliance Parts Pros came up and I simply put in the model number, paid for the part and two days later I was back in business! Thanks for the quick service! 

After taking off the front access panel and removing the pump, I was able to determine that the pump really was worn out. I then started looking online for replacements. AppliancePartsPros.com seemed like they had a reasonable price and claimed fast shipping, so I ordered one from them. I placed my order around 4:30 pm on a Friday and was amazed when Fed ex delivered my new pump the next morning around 10:00 am. The actual removal and installation of the pump only took about 15 minutes, while moving my washer out on the porch to work on it took about 30 minutes. 

The drain pump was making a lot of noise and I kept getting Sds and F-21 errors on my Whirlpool Duet Sports washing machine. I didn't want to pay for a service tech to determine the issue so I visited the internet and did some research and verified I needed to replace the drain pump. The next issue was Whirlpool showed that the pump I needed was no longer available. I was real worried that I wouldn't find a new drain pump and would have to buy a new washer. I went to AppliancePartsPros.com and found the motor and watched the video available, which by the way was not for my drain pump style. I purchased the motor which was delivered 2 days later. I checked the new pump over and seen how the old one should come out and the new one installed. I had the new motor in and my washing machine working like new again in less than 30 minutes. I ordered a replacement drain pump online after a confirmed repair diagnosis after a call to a service repair company. They wanted $297.00 for the labor and part . I ordered the exact same part they going to supply for $ 96.49 , which included shipping and received to part two days later. I installed it 15 minutes. The washer now works like new !
