After calling around and hearing $300+ for a appliance repair service to make the fix, I took the mechanism apart. The auger motor was still spinning, but the connecting shaft up to the auger in the ice bucket was stripped. It was literally a 20 minute repair for someone who really hadn’t a clue what he was doing (Me!). The parts came overnight, although I paid for regular shipping, and I replaced the shaft, along with the metal shaft connector at the bottom of the ice auger. The ONLY problem I had was patience! WAIT a few minutes for the old shaft, auger, and gear piece to THAW a bit before putting a screwdriver on it! The ice dispenser works perfectly now! Thanks!
