How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6009858 / WP6-3129480 Dryer Drum Roller Axle

Replaced most of the moving parts with new from AppliancePartsPros.com. Squirrel cage, rollers, pins, bearings. Sounds like new now. 

Replaced dryer drum belt, drum support rollers, tumbler bearings, and belt tension pulley. The pulley was the main noise issue, but best to replace the above parts all at the same time since you have the dryer opened up. Easy work. 

New drum support rollers, drum roller axles, new belt and belt tension pulley. 

Took the complete dryer apart - as instructed by the GREAT VIDEO you had on your website. Your representative did an excellent job in directing us step-by-step how to remove the worn out parts and put the new parts on. 

Bought everything I needed to repair , after I watched many videos. APP was one of the best. Parts came very fast. repair went like the video explained, dryer works enough said. 

Took apart and checked dryer support rollers and axles, idler pulley arm and belt tension pulley. Belt had some cracks but belt tension pulley was the problem. When spinning tension pulley by hand was making noise. I replaced everything while I had apart. Idler pulley arm, belt tension pulley, drum support rollers and axles and drum belt. Runs good no noise. AppliancePartsPros had all the parts and was delivered fast. Thanks!! 

I used your video and the repair was successful. 

Replaced drum support roller assemblies. Access not too difficult. Remove dryer door, front housing plate, lift top of housing, and remove tumbler drum. From there, replacement of rollers and roller axles is quite easy. Once replaced, dryer runs quiet, like new. Overall repair time - 1 hour. 

Read the numerous other problems people had. Figured it was a drum roller. Yes it was. The right hand one. But ordered several other parts as a preventative maintenance. So, replaced the other drum roller, belt tension pulley and belt. To be sure while I had the dryer apart, changed the roller axles too. The videos were great and indispensable. Have done business in the past, and will do so again. Took a little longer because vacuumed all areas for dirt and dust. Have a new dryer!
