How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4023880 / 206638 Siphon Break

First ordered a new pump, replaced it using the provided video which went very well, but machine kept dripping water. When I felt around the water was running down the drain tube which runs from the pump at the bottom of the machine to the top at the siphon break which I could not see. So .... ordered siphon break parts and that fixed the leak! Followed all the video leads which were quite helpful. Very successful conclusion. Thanks for the good help and the speedy parts. 

After looking at the Appliance Parts Pros most common causes of leaks, I ordered all the likely culprits. Before the parts arrived, I looked at the helpful step-by-step repair videos for each part. I also ordered the special spanner wrench required to do the job. While doing the repairs, I decided to order a new water pump as well. I was delighted that I ordered the part on a Friday, and Appliance Parts Pros had it delivered to me on Saturday. Very impressed. I had to laugh, though, when the guy on the video said "this is an easy repair." It wasn't impossible but it sure wasn't "easy" either. Nevertheless, the job is done, and the machine no longer leaks.

Ordered new siphon break and new siphon break elbow. Works great. 

Used diagram on your website to determine the part needed. Received part in 2 days. Installed with help on youtube video. 

Replaced Siphon Break. 

I order the part from Appliance Parts and the quick delivery was faster than Jimmy John's!! I spent about 30 minutes working slowly and every thing went in to place perfectly. The hardest part was removing the screws holding the top down. I hope I never have appliance problems again but if I do I know where to go. Thank You Appliance Parts PROS Bob Black
