How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6010168 / WP63907 Washer Suspension Spring

Thanks for helping me to fix my washer. Customer service really helped me a lot because she stayed, all the way along with me until I know what I am doing. Replaced suspension springs and pads 

Replaced springs and pads also freed adjusting legs . It's a old machine, that we use to wash my work clothes, so my wife does not leave me. 

Research problems on-line, ordered the recommended parts, watched the repair videos and installed the parts. 

It was easy with the help of the how to videos. 

I looked for a broken balance spring but didn't find anything broken. I ordered and replaced all springs and the problem is fixed. 

After watching videos and chatting online with Appliance Parts Pros, I was able to diagnose the problem. I ordered the parts and within 2 hours of receiving them I had my washer fixed. I could not have figured out the problem or fixed it without the help from these fine folks. For about $60 my washer no longer does the JitterBug around the laundry room (my girlfriend says it was the Tango but it was most definitely the Jitter Bug). 

They were easy to remove them. What made it easier was to push the drum around so it release the tension and remove them with the hand. The first one I removed was AP6017818 so it will be easier to move the drum. Don't forget to put grease on the hooks of the springs after installing, prevent from noise when spinning. 

If it weren't for the AWESOME DIY videos through appliancepartspros we would have never tried this, the videos were perfect, spot on! It made the repair very easy to understand ! The shipping was fast and parts were new, in packages ! This didn't fix our problem and we went and bought a new washing machine, but we are super satisfied that we were able to do as much as we did to try to save the old one! (14 years old). Ultimately, we should have replaced the clutch, but with the age of the machine and the fact that we got a nice price on the new one, we would try this again, if necessary! 

I ordered 4 new springs from AppliancePros.com. I installed the new springs and now my girl complains I have taken away some of her fun time. Oh well it gives us more fun time. At least I don't have to chase down my machine to unload it. Thanks guys, great parts and a very good price. Don't be offended but I hope I never have to contact you again for my machine.
