How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6010168 / WP63907 Washer Suspension Spring

I checked the APP website and found the problem listed. I watched the video and ordered the parts that were recommended. I really appreciated the repair videos being attached to the confirmation email that the parts were on their way. The video was great. 

I replaced all the suspension springs and brackets, and replaced the 2 front leveling legs on it, and now it spins quietly with normal vibration. 

I used the video on the website available for each part, and replaced the three centering springs, and the main spring in the back, a single long spring. I also bought new nylon blocks for the bottom, but those were all OK! Twenty minutes and it was done. We will try it out tomorrow. It self centers now when you lift the lid and move the drum, so pretty sure it will work. Doug B. 

Took cabinet off. Had looked at videos and diagrams and saw missing both springs from back of tub. Ordered parts and fixed within 2 hours. Works much better.Is easier if use 2 pairs of pliers. One to stretch spring to hole and the other to nudge it over that last bit. Also used duct tape to hold in place the piece that spring attaches to. 

I purchased upper pads, lower pads, and tub suspension springs. I was unable to remove the inner tub even after removing the large nut with a spanner tool so I was unable to replace the upper pads. I did replace the lower pads and all springs, which eliminated the walking problem. In the future I might try replacing the upper pads by removing the transmission, which should allow me to remove the inner and outer tubs as a unit thus making the upper pads accessible. 

Bought the new spring and the mount and it went together smoothly. Drinking fresh cider now!

We discovered by doing the testing that it was the heating element which comes as a complete unit with all sensors were you don’t have to take your dryer completely apart you don’t have to take it out of the casing. The heating element nothing you just pop it radion one screw and it’s good. And they told me it be a week delivery it only took two days with the cheapest 695 delivery charge so my suggestion is do not upgrade your delivery charge I could not believe it came in today’s. Appliance Parts Pro is the best I’ve ever dealt with when it comes to getting parts for something, plus their hotline is perfect to talk to them about problems that you’re having and they work through it. They do not push you at all to get off the phone they were very very patient and very good. The price was very reasonable I am very satisfied with appliance parts pros.On rating 1 to 5 I would give them a 15.
