How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6006356 / WP22003302 Internal Unbalance Switch

I found the trouble shooting guide and. It suggested a possible fix might be to replace the internal balance switch. This made sense so I ordered one online form your website. The part came in when promised, I installed it, bypassed the door lock switch and watched as the drum took off like a rocket! Very pleased with the part and service from your company. More important, the wife is VERY happy! Thank you. 

The front bearing was no good. when the machine would try to spin it was off balance, so being a smart washer it would shut itself down. since i had to replace the bearing i decided to do preventive maintenance by replacing the lip seal and rear bearing. the unbalance switch was added in as well. My washing machine works like New. Saved a lot of money by doing it my self. thank you for your how to video and parts. 

I had the problem couple years ago I bypassed unbalance switch it worked fine for a couple years and had the same problem again so ruled out unbalanced switch. Door lock light on and checked made sure wax motor pushed out all the way too the second switch for spin check OK, so took a chance on displacement switch x2. My family loves to over load it and also replaced by passed unbalance switch and boom every thing went back to normal. Its also good to clean every thing when apart. 

Replaced unbalance switch 

Maytag Neptune mah7500aww Wouldn't spin, in Diagnostic mode the imbalance showed even when the washer was not running. A few minutes research led me to this sensor. Ordered it up and 3 days later the part arrived. Removed the door and the screws on the opposite side to remove the face of the washer and then two bolts pointing up into the lid. With the lid tilted up I found the sensor mounted under the concrete block. Installed the sensor, rechecked for the imbalace in diag mode and it was back to zero. Put it back together and it works just fine!
