How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6973145 / W11396033 Door Switch

Unplugged broken switch, replaced with new one. 

I apply online looking for repair till I find Appliance Parts Pro. Video on how to replace were provided and illustration were shown and it was easy to repair yourself. I have home warranty and they want $75 to review. We have to wait 2 weeks for part replacement. But with Appliance Parts Pro, the part came in 2 days and replace it with instruction from provided video and you're done!! The part only cost $25 - part and shipping. I save 75%!! 

Replaced light switch 

Shortened the water hose from saddle valve (t0 reduce water time ) then replaced water inlet valve, set temp colder on freezer and waited . I have to shut of ice maker every other day (to much ice ) but thats a good thing ! 

Got on your website typed in my Model number, ordered parts. They all came within 3 days installed all pieces and they all fit exact. Thank you very much and excellent company to deal with. I give you a 5 star!! 

Pulled the cold adjustment dial out,got hold of light wire pulled it thru ( very tight ) hole plugged switch in locked it back----easy. 

We went online we found your company we watch the video on how to replace the switch we ordered the switch and then replaced it was really easy 

Removed switch to see if I could open it and increase tension. It was sealed. So, I got the fridge model info and googled it. Ordered the part online. Got it in just 3 days. Installed it and it is working great, just like it is supposed to. cheers, Phil
