Whirlpool dryer e3 error code

Asked ChatGPT for probable causes and how to fix, ordered new Thermistor, it arrived the next day!!!, followed ChatGPT instructions to replace, took an hour start to finish.

Whirlpool electric dryer wouldn't heat up

Tested the thermistor and thermostat and they checked out ok. Took out the heating element, and one of the coils had cracked. I ordered and installed all 3 parts because they were all old and I didn't want to take the dryer apart in another month. Works fine now.

Drying temperature was way too hot

Replaced the Thermistor. Checked the old thermistor with a multimeter and it indeed tested bad. Thanks for providing such a great service. Doesn't get any better than that.
