How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007529 / WP303395 High Limit Thermostat

I began an internet search to help identify the issue and potential resolutions. Thank goodness I found appliancepartspros.com!! They had the parts and videos I needed to make the repairs myself! For $85 I replaced the gas valve coils, igniter, flame sensor and high limit thermostat. The parts came in quickly and correctly and the instructional videos on their website were spot on! Saved 100's of dollars by doing it myself! Great website, parts and videos! Thank you Appliancepartspros.com!! 

I changed the valve coils, the high limit thermostat, the igniter and the flame sensor. I really didn't have to change them all because I think it was the igniter but I figured while I was there I would do them all and basically give my wife a "brand new" dryer. It was easy to do and a whole lot cheaper than buying a new dryer. Your videos made it even easier. 

12.1.16. Replaced gas valve coil kit,..high limit thermostat,..cycling thermostat,..to get it functioning again...I also replaced the drum support rollers,drum roller axles,tumbler bearings & drum felt seals, while I had it apart.I've owned the dryer for 18yrs. This is the third time I have had to service the dryer, but it has done a lot of clothes in its life!......My next washer will be a Speed Queen, pricey......but worth the coin! 

Replaced with parts pro parts and received them in ONE DAY !! Did it my self. Shipping cost only 8.95 WOW Fixed it with 10 major parts. She humming /operating/ heating like a new machine!!!!!! Thanks Parts Pros!!! 

Larry suggested a few items that might be bad with specific instructions on things to test first. It was one of the two coils that was bad. A fairly quick fix with the online video instructions. Thank you. 

Just changed the Dryer Gas Valve. 

Removed panel to access burner tube removed wires then removed screws holding thermostat installed new thermostat replaced wires and installed front panel pretty easy repair 

After reading many great reviews on the site I decided it was worth trying the Dryer Gas Valve Coil Kit and also the High Limit Thermostat parts. After replacing these 2 parts the dryer came back to life!! Thanks for the great Video and the review section of your web page!! 

Googled to find model number because unit was without label. called customer service and they helped with common problems with that model. Only problem screws were extremely tight from factory. 

Removed front panel of dryer(thanks to repair videos covering this model) Inspect igniter as it wasn't as bright as expected. observe left worn roller causing poor rpm of drum and venting. I figured I may as well change left roller with roller axle and also right roller. In addition , I replaced the belt and the Fire box high limit and dryer gas valve coil kit as this dryer is 8 years old. Unit is now operational. The repair videos show you how to replace components but don`t show you how to diagnose possible causes. Overall , I like buying the parts from app because of the how to vids and the reasonable parts prices.
