How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007529 / WP303395 High Limit Thermostat

Removed front panel of dryer to access the igniter assembly. When I received my order the igniter assembly had broken parts. This part is a very delicate part and is not supposed to be touched on the prong end. I contacted appliancepartpros.com and with no problem at all they promptly shipped me a replacement that I received in 2 days. This is my second repair in which I have used appliancepartspros.com and would recommend this company to anyone doing a home repair. 

Didn't take any chances put in new flame sensor, high limit stat. & Dryer gas valve kit. Works great, hasn't heated this well in a long time. I also cleaned out the venting system from the filter side and the exhaust side. surprisingly the hardest part to put in was the high limit stat. I thought it would be the easiest. 

Replaced gas coils, hi level thermostat, cycling thermostat. Parts came a day early Installed per the video, very easy. Dryer works again. Parts were equal to the repair man Show up charge here in Cali. Usually $75.00 

The videos provided for replacing parts specifically stated which parts would cause the dryer to not heat. There were possibly four parts. I was not confident I could test the components and determine which was defective, and ordered the four. The parts were delivered in less than 24 hours and were the exact replacements. Access to the parts was a little different than described because of the different cabinet configuration of our dryer. Actual replacement took less than 30 minutes, the RPP videos helped a lot. 

Checked online to figure out what was wrong, then went with a total one time fix. Picked the most popular parts, ordered, and replaced the 5 parts. Our dryer is a Maytag LDG8506AAE with the lint trap built into the door opening...WARNING.. removing the dryer top is not required on this model as shown in the videos. Just remove the 2 screws on the front panel lower right and left hand corners, then push in the spring clips and remove the front panel with a out and down motion. The tub is then removed by removing 4 screws on the front brackets There. is an access door on the back of this dryer for the belt pulley. GOOD LUCK... It took me 1hr. to get passed the front panel problem.....
