How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007578 / WP308180 Oven Bake Element

We ordered the part from AppliancePartsPro.com. We received the item just a few days later. My husband put it in and everything is working great. Thank you for making it so easy! We even pulled the oven out to clean around it and underneath it. I did like watching the video that was provided before ordering. 

While baking my husband's favorite granola, I heard a "whoosh" sound from the oven. When I opened the door, there were flames dancing on the baking element! Fortunately, the excitement was over when I turned off the oven. I quickly looked online and ordered a replacement element from AppliancePartsPros.com. I was pleased with the ease of ordering and the fast shipping. Once I received the new element it was very easy to install, thanks to the online video. To celebrate, I baked a batch of cookies. They turned out beautifully! 

I turned off the circuit breaker, removed the two screws holding the old element in place then removed the two spade-lug terminals from the old element (being careful not to allow them to drop back into the oven wall insulation). I installed the new element by attaching the spade-lug terminals, re positioning the element and attaching it in place with the two screws. I turned the circuit breaker back on and tested the element. The video on your website was helpful to see what was involved with the repair beforehand. 

Replaced oven bake element with one from Appliancepartspros.com. 

We replaced it with a new heating coil found on your website. 

Ordered a new one put in myself. The sales person that took my order was extremely helpful and so Courteous she made my day better. 

Ordered replacement and took out old burnt up element and put in new one I ordered from Appliance parts Pros 

Easy, removed the broken element and put the new one in. 

Since my stove is "aging" I went on line to find someone that sold elements for it and AppliancePartsPros.com had what I needed. After completing my order I was told it would be at my house in 6-8 days. The element came in 4 days and my husband used a screw driver and a pair of pliers to take out the old one and put in the new one. It took only about 20 minutes to replace and then while he had the stove out we cleaned behind it and then he decided to clean the oven. I won all the way around!!!!
