How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007578 / WP308180 Oven Bake Element

I ordered a new oven bake element, and my husband replaced the broken one.

I ordered this part online, and my son put it in the old stove without much difficulty. Immediately, things began to cook much quicker and evenly, too. It is like having a new stove, and I am so glad I found this on the internet and I got immediate service with my order. Thank you so much! JGC. 

All I needed to change out the heating element was a screw driver. It was so simple and easy that I had completed it in under 10 minutes! 

I ordered the correct part from AppliancePartsPros.com. When it came, I installed it, and the next day made the Thanksgiving turkey everyone was waiting for. The people here are excellent. The baking element arrived a day before the estimated arrival date. My husband installed it easily and the turkey is cooking as I am typing this. 

Ordered the replacement part from appliancepartspros.com and install it in five minutes and was cooking the same day. 

I followed the suggestions, turning off the oven breakers. Despite the oven light being off, I also checked the voltage with a meter. I unscrewed the 2 screws holding the bad element in place, gently pulled the element forward exposing the spade clips attached. Took the spade clips off, attached them to the new element and attatched the element to the back oven wall with the 2 screws. Despite having never done this before it literally took 10 minutes. I knew that exactly because the oven clock was off from the time I turned off the power until I turned it back on. Delghted how easy it was. 

Followed the video on AppliancePartsPros.com. Unscrewed screws using WD-40 and an impact driver. Took the wires off the element and connected the wires on the new one and then screwed it back in. 

Unplugged the stove, Two Phillips screws to remove. The element pulls out slightly. You disconnect the two leads from the old element. Take the opportunity to clean the oven with the element out. Plug leads onto the new element, pinch tight with needle nose pliers if loose fit. Replace the two Phillips head screws and you're done. Plug it in and test heat it.
