I bought inlet valve WPW10498990 for KItchen-Aid KFXS25RYMS0, which arrived very quickly. After removing fridge access panel I switched the valves. However, I noticed that due to a poor design, the polyproylene tube had 2 crimps in it, the "obvious" cause of slow flow. I accessed the extra tubing inside the fridge by removing the water filter, shelves, and back panels inside the unit. An feeding down enough tubing to trim the crimps. Checked for water flow -- nothing. Thought I might have received a defective part, re-installed old valve. Still nothing. Backtracked water flow, looked up at water filter - or where filter should have been, noticed I forgot to reinstall. Put in filter, checked flow - a trickle. Changed to new valve, all is well. 15-20 minutes to re-group the poly tubing inside fridge, reinstall shelving, reload refrigerator. And that's how a homeowner takes a 15-minute project and makes in almost 4 hours. Always allow at least 4 hours for even the seemingly simplest tasks.
