Don L South San Francisco , CA June 20, 2020 Appliance: Model DLE 2301 R LG dryer DLE2301R would not heat up. After review of your troubleshooting procedures on your site, I decided to buy one of each of the 4 most likely problems. I figured if I have to take the dryer apart, I might as well only do it once. I tried to test each component for continuity as I replaced the parts and got lucky on the 1st part I tested. "High Limit Thermostat" had a open circuit ! I went ahead and replaced all the other parts just for safety sake, but none of them seemed to have continuity problems. (oh, if you decide to replace the moisture sensor bars, I had two of these in my dryer (I only bought one). I also did a complete cleaning of the dryer and "rerouted" the vent to use semi solid 4 inch piping vs the flexible vent tubing I had on it to make sure there were no kinks in the vent hose.. LG specifically says not to use flexible vent hose...(maybe that was my main problem that forced thermostat to go.) Thank you so much for having such a detailed website !
