Terry G Saginaw , MI April 22, 2023 Appliance: Model MAYTAG A612 Noisy at times Purchased parts, bearing and new seals and wrench for Maytag A612 35 year old machine. Watched video on how to do the repairs. Fairly easy except that nut under agitator which I had to cut off after a half hour of attempting to get it loose. After 35 years it did not want to loosen. The new nut was definitely needed. I used dremel with small grinding wheel to cut mostly through the old nut then a chisel to break it loose then spanner wrench I purchased to loosen the nut the rest of the way. After that it was just taking my time to make sure parts were removed cleaned then new bearing and seals installed. I would recommend new rubber washers for tub replacement but mine were okay and I did not have new ones. They should be a part of the new seal kit. Working great again now.
