Juan S Benton , LA February 28, 2023 Appliance: Model GDT530PSP4SS Lower door gasket on GE dishwasher had deteriorated and come apart. I went to your web sight. I entered the GE dishwasher model # and found the gasket was available. While looking up the needed gasket I happened to see an applicable how-to replace the gasket video and watched it. It was easy to follow and VERY helpful. As I watched, I wrote down the gasket replacement procedure step-by-step. I ordered the needed gasket and received it in 2 days (AMAZING). The replacement entailed disconnecting the water supply, the power supply and the discharge hose. I removed the screws attaching the unit to the countertop, then I slid the unit out from under the countertop and leaned it back to access the bottom of the door. I removed the kick panel, disconnected the wiring harness and I removed the screws at the bottom of the door that holds the door on the hinges. The video showed how to safely and easily prop the door open using a couple of hex wrenches before removing the door from the hinges. I slid the door up and off the hinges, laid it on its face on a towel, slid out the remaining piece of the original gasket and slid in the new gasket. I put the door back onto the hinges, installed the screws, reconnected the wiring harness, and reinstalled the kick plate. I leaned the unit forward and set it back on the floor. I slid it back into place while pulling the water supply line, power supply cord, and discharge hose back to where they needed to be under the adjacent sink. I reinstalled the screws that attach the unit to the countertop, then connected the water supply and turned it on. I then connected the discharge hose and plugged in the power supply. The gasket was replaced and the dishwasher was back in service in less than an hour thanks to your video. Kay S Madison , AL July 03, 2016 Appliance: Model GDF520PGD2WW Ge dishwasher gdf520pgd2ww leak slow drip from door I ordered door seal and bottom strip seal: GASKET TUB PLASTIC Number: WD08X22094 GASKET BEACH PLASTIC: WD08X21894 I had done this once previously and removed the door. That was not too bad but trying to put the door back on the hinges by myself was a bit of work. This time I: 1) removed the 2 screws at the bottom of the door. 2) opened the door all the way 3) slowly pulled the door back on the hinges till I could pull out the bottom gasket 4) slid the new gasket back in place 5) pushed the door back down on hinges 6) replaced the 2 screws Done! I didn't need the tub gasket but I am keeping it because it is a quick easy pull out push in fix if that seal becomes a problem. Hope this helps you if you have a leak from your dishwasher. Jennifer H Bonney Lake , WA April 09, 2016 Dishwasher leaking from bottom of door With the angles in cabinetry where our dishwasher was located, we needed to pull out the dishwasher and take the bottom door off. With that completed, pulling out the old seal and sliding in the new seal was simple and took 30 seconds. Then we put it back up and in, good to go, no leaks! Steve M Shakopee , MN April 28, 2020 Leaking. Upon taking the door apart it looked like the leak was coming from the vent so I replaced the vent cap, vent seal and the transition piece. I did not have to change the seals. It took me a while to figure out how to get the door apart, but once I did, it was fairly straightforward. Lorrena N Clayton , IN October 20, 2018 Appliance: Model GDF520PSJ0SS The gasket beach plastic had crumbled & was leaking I ordered the part & watched my husband fix it! We have a stainless steel dishwasher, so we didn't have screws or no visible way to remove the door panel. My husband gently pried the old gasket out & pushed the new one back up into place. It is working like a tater grater! It took him approximately 5 minutes. Very easy fix, I think I can even repair it the next time. Thank you for the quick delivery of the part!
