Removed the freezer drawers, ice maker, and panel that the fan motor is attached to. Changed out the fan motor reinstalled everything and plugged it in, and presto. I had ordered the control board just in case but didn't need it. The fan motor wasn't the easier part to replace but it was the cheaper of the two. This was a tricky one to figure out. The Maytag Centennial MVWC400XW4 would fill and wash, then stop before spin cycle or would not complete the spin cycle. I ordered the replacement motor. I unplugged the microwave. Then I simply removed the turntable spindle by lifting it up off the motor from inside the microwave. Next, I removed the 7 screws holing the bottom of the microwave in place. I lowered the bottom of the microwave, giving me access to the motor. I unplugged the two wires connected to the motor, removed the 2 screws holding the motor in place, then put the new motor in place and reversed the steps to complete the job. Read more
