This was a tricky one to figure out. The Maytag Centennial MVWC400XW4 would fill and wash, then stop before spin cycle or would not complete the spin cycle. We had to manually move the dial to rinse & spin, etc. to get it to finish a load. This technique worked but it definitely became a pain to do and at the time we didn't notice how much longer the machine took calibrating a wash load. I ordered the replacement motor. I unplugged the microwave. Then I simply removed the turntable spindle by lifting it up off the motor from inside the microwave. Next, I removed the 7 screws holing the bottom of the microwave in place. I lowered the bottom of the microwave, giving me access to the motor. I unplugged the two wires connected to the motor, removed the 2 screws holding the motor in place, then put the new motor in place and reversed the steps to complete the job. Read more

Removed the freezer drawers, ice maker, and panel that the fan motor is attached to. Changed out the fan motor reinstalled everything and plugged it in, and presto. I had ordered the control board just in case but didn't need it. The fan motor wasn't the easier part to replace but it was the cheaper of the two. Because the old motor would run for just a short time I assumed that it wasn't sending a signal back to the control board telling it that it was running. I was right!! Read more

My Kenmore washer had three problems and thanks to AppliancePartsPros.com videos I was able to repair all three. The washer coupler was defective so I replaced it. This topok about 30 minutes. The washer lid switch was defective. This took about an hour. Finally, the motor was defective. I was able to disconnect the motor from the transmission and test the motor by leaving the wiring connected and run a wash cycle. The motor was dead. Started out as a replacement of the coupling between the motor and the basket transmission ( 2 of the 3 legs on the transmission side broken.. )... Bought a new pump, since I would have it off... or so I thought.. Metal output shaft into pump + years of moisture = pump rusted on. Put it all back together - runs fine... for a while.. Then the old pump bearings burn out. Back apart.. Cut the old pump off the motor. Reinstall everything... Nothing, Just sits there and buzzes... Now... Read more

This is the second time this issue has come about. Bosch would tell you that you have a brushless motor. This is not true. If you get on youtube.com you can see how you can replace the brushes in your motor. Brush replacement. $50. New motor using a appliance repair man $500. Read more

Very easy fix. Turned of power at breaker. Removed oven door by lowering two "keepers" on the hinges for the oven door and sliding the door out of the oven. Removed the trim plate at bottom of oven by pushing it up.. Removed 2 screws that mount to the frame of the cabinet at the bottom that the trim plate hangs from. Then removed 4 screws that hold the oven into the cabinet at either side of the oven. Put two 5 gallon buckets in front of the oven and slid the oven out onto the side-by-side... Read more

I Googled the problem and found troubleshooting that stated. "If the table spins freely that the motor was bad. I ordered the part and within 20 minutes it was fixed. The hardest part was figuring out how to get the microwave out of the wall. Read more
