Washer would fill but then would not agitate or spin there was a burning rubber smell Karen G. • Katonah , NY • November 28, 2014
All's well that ends well, but the getting there was a bit of a pain. The web site suggests 3 possible causes for my problem (incl. the burning smell). I began with the first two since they were inexpensive compared to the motor, which was the third cause (and also the least often cause). There is no way to visibly tell if the motor is bad or not.
After replacing the clutch assembly, which did have some plastic pins broken off) and the motor coupling (which actually looked fine, but the...

This agitator mover is the upper auger section of a dual-action agitator. It ratchets in one direction to drive clothes downward for proper turnover, helping restore effective wash action when the original mover is worn or damaged. What it does:
- Creates the one-way, ratcheting motion of the agitator's upper section
- Helps circulate and roll laundry downward for thorough turnover
- Common symptoms of failure: weak agitation, top auger not advancing, clicking/slipping sounds, or visible cracks/stripped splines
- Needed after damage from overloading or long-term wear
What's included:
- 1 agitator mover (upper auger)
Install notes:
- Disconnect power and turn off water before servicing
- Remove the fabric softener dispenser and agitator cap; take out the center retainer/bolt to access the mover
- Lift off the old mover and seat the new mover fully on the agitator
- Reinstall the retainer/bolt and cap; verify smooth ratcheting action before use

- Supports consistent drying performance when the original seal is cracked, torn, or compressed
What's included: One lint duct seal (single piece) Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the dryer before beginning any work; follow all electrical safety precautions
- Access may require removing the dryer front or top panel depending on model—refer to your model's service instructions
- Remove the old seal and clean mating surfaces before installing the new seal for a secure fit

Rusted motor shield that had rotted away James N. • Gastonia , NC • February 16, 2015
The repair was simple. Having used Appliance Parts Pro in the past for much needed repair parts, I simply unplugged the machine, turned off the water and removed the drain hose and slid unit forward. I then removed the top control panel like last time, tilted the body forward and set it aside. I unfastened the upper hose to the water pump and slid what was left of the old shield out and slid the new replacement shield back into place then reattached the flex hose. The shield slipped right...

This exhaust vent extension provides extra duct length to move dryer or hood exhaust farther from the appliance, improving airflow routing and helping reduce backpressure and lint buildup in short-vent installations. What it does:
- Extends the length of an existing exhaust duct to reach a distant vent outlet
- Helps restore proper ventilation when original ducting is too short
- Reduces restricted airflow that can cause longer dry times or excess lint accumulation
- Works as an inline rigid/semirigid extension piece for exhaust systems
What's included: One exhaust vent extension piece (quantity: 1) Install notes:
- Disconnect power (and gas for gas dryers) before accessing or modifying exhaust connections
- Remove lint and debris from ducting before installing the extension to ensure clear airflow
- Securely fasten with appropriate clamps or foil tape and maintain a smooth, unobstructed path

This OEM replacement part is a washer tub assembly. The tub is the cylindrical piece that is found inside the washer where the clothes are put. Damage to the tub can cause it to not rotate properly. If the tub is making excessive noise during the wash cycle and appears to be misaligned, damaged, or broken, it might be time for a replacement. Start by removing the front panel of the washing machine. Then proceed to remove the top and back panels. After gaining access to the interior of the machine, disconnect any hoses attached to the drum and take note of where they go. Using a screwdriver, remove the screws that hold the drum to the machine. Lift the tub out, and replace it with the new one. Be sure to re-attach everything properly. Secure the front back and top panels of the washer. This genuine replacement part is compatible with Bosch, Gaggenau, and Thermador, washing machines.
