Gotta love the inter-webs and youtube.com I did a couple of searches and some troubleshooting. Everything pointed to the damper assembly and thermo so I ordered them as well as the new versions of the flimsy plastic drawer shelves, while I was working out of state during COVID. I had the parts waiting for me at the house. Rolled in Sunday, 22 minutes later, damper and thermo installed. The fridge is cooling. Today is Tuesday and everything is back down to temp. knuckle bump. Read more

Turned off water behind the fridge. Unscrewed housing that covered water lines behind the filter base with a 1/4" socket. Pulled out the water hoses by pulling forward on the blue ring holding the hose while pulling the hose backward. Unscrewed the two screws below the filter base. Used the 1/4" socket to remove four additional 1/4" nuts holding the front housing until it partially dropped. I kept the housing propped on a jar. The drive blade has come off of the drum and the auger. When I try to dispense ice and the auger rotates, the drive blade does not rotate with it. Hence, the drive blade was not pushing ice into the drum (and into the ice crusher housing and dispense chute). Apparently, the hole of the drive blade was no longer "biting" the auger so that it will rotate with it. I did not know how to re-attach the drive blade back to the auger (short of welding it). I wasn't sure if it was the door being warped, the spring return being worn, or the rotary damper failing, so I ordered all to update the door mechanism. I also ordered a new micro switch since one of the switches had started to require more and more pressure to actuate. Figured I'd fix it at the same time.
