Questions & Answers

For Bosch Center Spray Arm And Tube Assembly (Part Number: OEM8407383)

1 Answer

Hello Valerie, If you found debris in the spray arms you will most likely have to replace them since it is not possible to remove all debris from the inside of the spray arms. You should also remove the filter screens and open the sum assembly to expose the pump impeller to ensure no debris or damage is in the impeller area. Lastly, check for a clogged or restricted drain hose and make sure it is elevated to countertop level before connecting to the sink drain.

Tom for Model Number shx68t55uc

I am using the auto cycle which runs for approx 2hr 9 min. Most times the Finish detergent tab does not completly dissolve. Some times almost 1/2 the tab is undissolved. I have periodically opened the DW and there always seems to be plenty of water. The soap door opens after 25 minutes. And the tab ends up in the little basket on the middle rack. After 50-60 min the water temp in the DW gets to 125-130 degrees. When we first got the DW I don't remember this happening. It is about 18 months old. Any idea as to why this may be happening. Bosch recommends using these Finish tabs. The dishes come out clean but they are rinsed before I put them in so I am not surprised there clean. Thanks for your help. Tom

Tom, Based on the temperature being between 125 and 130 it sounds like the water is not getting hot enough and could be a issue with the heat pump that is not operating. You will want to check to see if you have 120 vac getting to the pump. If there is not then the issue will be control board and if so then the issue will be with the heat pump.

Hello Laura, The spray arm is loose intentionally. The slack is taken up by the water pressure from the pump. This is by design and is normal.

Hello Lynn. No, you need to clean all the filters on the unit and any trash out that is in the sump on the unit. Unless the arm is damaged, then replace it. 00359976 is the correct middle arm.

Doug, Unfortunately there is not a video or written instructions on reinstalling the top spray arm. You will want to make sure that there is threading on both parts and should just screw into place.

Hello Noah, This is not normal. You should check the upper and rear retaining clips WP99002643 to make sure it is properly held in place.

L. Malinofsky for Model Number maybe 9000359119 rev C? probably not

Can't find model number. It is a Bosch stainless steel silence plus 43dba (48?) dishwasher. I find a number on a sticker next to the controls; it is 9000359119 Rev C. The top spray arm Will Not Move, after removing, cleaning hub, reassembling so there is NO resistance to turning. Water spurts out of the holes, though maybe anemically. When I suddenly open the door to peek it looks like the most part of the water drains from the hub ring (where arm meets tube). Maybe there was a washer once, I thought, but it would have to be Teflon not to increase turning friction. I took plumber's teflon thread tape and wound it so as to simulate a very thin Teflon washer. Wow! The arm sprayed plenty and turned fast. I checked a minute later and it was stopped again with no apparent change in rotational friction. The Teflon tape was still there. I then wrapped a layer of the tape around the outside upper surface of the tube that connects arm and tube. Again, good spinning, but only for a minute. Now dead as nails. I have no washers of any kind. Is my problem solvable with a washer set alone or must I buy tube and arm (seems crazy when they spin just fine-- for short periods). Thank you, L. Malinofsky

Hello L. Malinofsky. It sounds like the upper spray arm will need to be replaced in the unit.
