Linda March 10, 2012 for Model Number THERMADOR BUILT-IN OVEN SMW272 We have a single oven with microwave, and the display light is no longer visible and the regular over will not heat. The microwave works and the convection oven works. We have already replaced the display light once with Part number AP3383663. Should we now order AP4929088? I can't find the exact part number we previously ordered.
1 Answer Hi Linda. Look at the convection relay board. Look a the J 2 connector to see if it is plugged into the board squarely. It is the wire harness to the clock assy. If it is plugged into it well, then you need to check the clock end connection as well.. If these connections are clean and tight, then the Oven display repair kit has been up grades since the last time you ordered one. It is part # 00702450. Thank You. Read More...

David December 17, 2011 for Model Number 702450 I ordered the control panel. I have a wall mounted oven/microwave/ stacks on top of each other. How do pull the thing out of the wall. It looks like there are no screws anywhere.
1 Answer Hi David. Remove power. Remove the oven door. Then you will be able to access the side trim screws. Remove the trim surrounding the microwave and the entire unit. This will give access to removing the microwave and power cord connected to the oven. Then you should be able to slightly pull the unit out of the wall. This will give access to the control panel screws of the front of the unit and below the keypad. This will give access to remove the top of the oven where the relay board is mounted. On some units you have to support the unit with a couple of stools or chairs and set onto them. You will need 2-people and a couple hrs. to do this. Take a cell picture of all wire connections. Remove and replace one wire at a time to insure proper installation. Do not touch the new board circuit. Ground yourself by touching the chassis metal and discharging the damaging effects of static (^ 30,000 vdc). Take the time to look over the terminal block and all electrical connections. Make sure all are tight.I did not have your exact model # , so in the future let us know and we can assist you better. Thank You. -- Read More...

Steve November 15, 2011 for Model Number SMW272YB (serial #: 20110226) Not only has my display faded out to invisible, but some time later, all 3 burner elements abruptly stopped working. I get no heat at all in bake, convection, or broil modes. Possibly caused by recent barrage of power surges I've had? But the keypad and timer respond, and the convection fan runs when I set to convection. Will this kit fix the no-heat problem, too, or could that be caused by some bad fuse? BTW, the red "thermal fuse" has continuity, is definitely not tripped.
1 Answer Hello Steve. Yes, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the display kit 00702450 is bad and will need to be replaced. It will cause the problems you are having with the unit. Hope this helps. Read More...
