Questions & Answers

For Bosch Thermister (Part Number: OEM20519652)

Hello David. If you have to wait a few minutes before the dryer will start back, then the motor 00436441 is bad in the unit. Make sure the drum is not binding. If not, then its the motor. The motor has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part.

Jacob, With the display showing 0:00 then this will most likely be an issue with the control module of the unit which is part number 00666016.

Rod, You will want to check the venting from the blower wheel to the outside of the home to make sure that the venting is clear. If this checks ok then the cycling thermostat would be the issue. If no thermostat then the thermistor would be the issue.

Garry for Model Number WTMC3521uc

I have a gas dryer that quit heating and when it happened you could smell gas in the dryer drum right after the igniter glowed and shut off. I tested the coils on the gas valve and they tested good. It does not mean they could not fail after a load has been put on them. I replaced them and the problem still exits. I did replace the igniter as I was told that it could heat and not draw enough load to completely turn the gas valve on. I replace the igniter and still not heat. Here is the odd thing. If I disconnect the burner box at the rear of the machine from where it goes into the drum and leave about 1 inch gap the dry will go through the cycle and heat and then the flame will just barley light and then it looks like it comes on full power. The dryer will run through its cycle and dry the cloths. I believe that the gas valve. Any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks

Hello Garry, You will need to replace the coils on the unit. It sounds like they are failing under a load.

Al S, You will want to check the venting of the unit and make sure that the venting is clear. If the venting checks ok then the most likely cause for this issue would be a faulty thermistor which is part number 00422221.

Hello John. This is a venting error code. Make sure the lint filter is good and clean and check all the venting both inside and outside the dryer. If everything is good, then replace the NTC sensor 00422221.

Hello David, When the lint alarm goes off, it is an indication of poor air circulation and the exhaust duct should be checked for crimps and/or obstructions. Also, if the “lint filter” light won’t turn off, clean the lint filter (by hand) with dish soap and water. The lint filter is very fine and can be clogged over time when fabric softener or softener sheets are used.
