Charles, there should be a number that is after a backslash. This number is a series number that is part of the model and would be necessary to provide the most accurate information regarding part numbers. If this number could be included in a new inquiry, this will allow for the most accurate information to be presented.

Sara for Model Number WFR2460 UC/01 (FD 8201-)

I was getting a "water tapped closed?" message a few minutes into a cycle. It didn't always happen and when it did, I just hit the pause/start button and the cycle would continue. But, then one day, the message appeared at the beginning of the cycle and the cycle would not restart. After some research, I installed new hot water and cold water valves. That seemed to resolve the problem for a couple of loads. But, now I am getting the message again at the beginning of the cycle, before water flows through the detergent dispenser. What part should I try replacing next?

1 Answer

Sara, "water tap closed?" indicated in the display field could be due to: Supply hoses kinked or trapped, eliminate the cause. Strainers in supply hoses clogged, Clean the filters. Water pressure too low. Eliminate the cause." With new water inlet valves, you may want to remove and check and clean the fill hose washers and screens, Open and flush the hot and cold water faucets for a minute or two, Then put it all back together and check the operation. If the problem persists, then check the 00602819 / 00602819 water inlet flow meter/ sensor, and wiring to the control board.

Shauna, Based on the hot water continually flowing the issue would be caused by a faulty hot water valve part number 00428212.

Ted N. for Model Number WFL260

Two weeks ago I guessed wrong and replaced the Hot/Cold water valve part #AP385434 price $30.59)for my Bosh Washing Machine. The machine still would not stop filling so it must be the cold water valve, part #AP3857699 that I need. My question is since this is a simpler part to make, it only hooks into the cold water why does it cost $34.02 when the other part that hooks into both the hot and cold water cost $30.59. Also, do you agree with my needed part?

1 Answer

Hello Ted. The prices are based on demand for a part and manufacture cost. If you can stop the water with the power on the washer, you will need to check the pressure hose and the water level regulator 00600925. If the hose is good, you will need to replace the regulator. If you have to turn off the water at the shut off, you will need to replace the cold water valve. Hope this helps.
