The Ice Dispenser Actuator Arm is an OEM part for Frigidaire refrigerators. It is designed to engage the ice dispensing mechanism when you press the lever or button on the ice dispenser. This actuator arm transfers the mechanical action needed to release ice from the dispenser into your glass or container.

You should replace the ice dispenser actuator arm if it becomes damaged, worn out, or fails to engage the ice dispensing mechanism properly. Common causes of a bad actuator arm include frequent use, mechanical wear, or accidental damage that can bend or break the arm.

Symptoms of a bad ice dispenser actuator arm include:

  • The ice dispenser not releasing ice
  • The dispenser lever feeling loose or unresponsive
  • Ice dispenser making unusual noises
  •  The actuator arm appearing bent or broken

This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

Hello Lucy, As per the parts explosion, I must ask if you removed the drip tray. The screws should be behind it. If there are no screws, grasp the bottom edge of the dispenser cover and pull sharply down and toward you with your knee against the door so it cannot move. This should snap it off. To re-install, hook it on at the top and bump it back on with the heel of your hand. The instructions with the screws should be correct if you listed the correct model number unless the manufacturer has incorrect information on the parts explosion. Let us know if you continue to experience problems and we can turn it over to research and get to the bottom of it.
