Causes of a bad control board can include electrical surges, moisture exposure, or general wear and tear. These factors can lead to failures in the electronic components or connections within the board.

Symptoms of a bad Main Control Board include:

  • The dishwasher not starting or completing cycles
  • Error codes displayed on the control panel
  • Inconsistent or malfunctioning cycle operations
  • The dishwasher becoming unresponsive to control inputs

This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

Ghauri, The most likely part that would cause this issue would be a faulty control board. The only thing you could really do is check for power at the control board. Unfortunately we do not have information for service providers.

I've replaced my door switch, motor and control panel already pretty much through process of elimination from issues I had before. Dishwasher ran great for a couple months then the normal wash button started to not work every time so I would use a the ultimate scrub button until that stopped working and my dishwasher flashed a PF code. I then would turn the breaker off to the dishwasher and turn it back on and that seemed to work for a handful of times but the normal cycle still wouldn't work I would still have to use the ultimate scrub. Well then that stopped working and it would flash the PF code again only this time most of my buttons would be flashing too along with the PF. So now nothing works on my control panel. I can turn the breaker on and the PF will display but as soon as I close the door it just goes blank. So is it the control board since I've already replaced the panel? Thanks in advance.

Dshawn, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty main control board for the unit.

Lee for Model Number FGCD2456QF0A

I have a replacement control board for my frigidaire gallery dishwasher. (It seems to have shorted out after a storm - but we were out of town at the time so we're not sure why our two year old appliance is already on the fritz.) I took the front panel off but that isn't where the control board is located. Am I missing something? Is it below the dishwasher? Do I have to disconnect the water supply and pull the unit out just to swap out the control board? I watched DIY videos of someone taking off the front panel and simply swapping it out, but my model dishwasher doesn't seem to want to make life that easy for me. I'd love some advice on how to access this since I can't seem to find that info on any Google searches / YouTube DIY videos.

Lee, If you take off the kickplate for the unit you should see the control board under the unit and don't believe you will have to pull the unit out to access it.
