Felicia June 04, 2020 for Model Number FPHS2699KF0 The control panel on the front of our fridge does not do anything. The fridge/freezer temps still show, but none of the buttons work. Our ice maker is still making ice and fridge and freezer are still working fine also. The buttons were stuck on water dispense, and water was still coming out until today when our power went out. Is there an easy fix to this? Does the whole panel need to be changed? Thanks in advance!
1 Answer Felicia, the dispenser control board 241973712 would need to be tested for voltage at the connection J2. With the red probe of a meter on the red wire (black stripe) and the black probe on the black wire (white stripe) there should be 5VDC going to the user control. If there is, the control has failed and would need to be replaced. If there is not, the wiring at the hinge would need to be inspected for any broken wires. If there are no broken wires, the next step would be to test the main control at the connection J7. with the red probe on the red wire (black stripe) and the black probe on the black wire (white stripe), there should be 5VDC. If there is, there is a broken wire somewhere in the cabin of the refrigerator and would not be repairable. If there is not 5VDC, the main control 5303918498 has failed. Read More...
George March 01, 2020 for Model Number fphs2699kf0 Getting the SY CE code on door. Interior light quit working and unit clicks on and off multiple times and then stays on. Unit was cooling, but went thru a defrost and is now back to cooling. Tried unplugging for 15 minutes, still the same. Will it be the main control board in the bottom, or the board in the door?
1 Answer Hello George, the code refers to the rear main control and the door-mounted control panel board not communicating correctly. First check the wire harness from the freezer door to the ref cabinet for any wire problems if ok replace the control l panel board,241973712. Read More...
Tim February 12, 2020 for Model Number FPHB2899LF3 Compressor will not run, looked at all the connections and solider joints on the boards, look good. I'm having a problem with the control board on front, does it have anything to do with the compressor. Main board or inverter on compressor which to change?
1 Answer Tim, With having a problem with the user interface and the compressor not running this would most likely be caused by a faulty main control board. Read More...
1 Answer Fred, If you remove the drip tray from the dispenser there should be a screw under it. You will want to remove the screw and pull out on the dispenser trim. Once off you will remove 4 screws holding the control cover in place. This will allow the control board to be replaced. Read More...
Mike Quintal July 19, 2017 for Model Number FPHF2399MF2 While dispensing ice last night, my refrigertor lost power shut down (lights, refrigeration, everything). I confirmed the breaker is not tripped, plugged it into anoher working outlet, etc., and nothing happened. I noticed that the ice dispenser had a big chunk that was probably causing the dispenser motor to get jammed. Do you think the control board burned out? No power to anything....
1 Answer Mike, With the unit not working at all then this would most likely be an issue with the main control board of the unit which would be part number 241973712. Read More...
Doug M. December 03, 2016 for Model Number FPHC2399KF1 We bought a Frigidaire Professional and it worked great for a few years then started having problems with keeping the temperature stable. The fridge seems to stay pretty consistent now, but fan keeps running and freezer just keeps getting colder and colder (down to -19F or more). I replaced the thermostat but no luck. We unplugged it several times and it worked fine for a week or so then continued having problems more often. After reading other posts, I think it is a control board (which I hear the company knows has problems), and wonder if this is what I need to replace? I want to make sure there is only one board that needs to be replaced and get it right the first time. Can you tell me which one this is?
1 Answer Doug, If the thermistors have already been replaced then yes the board would be the most likely cause and the part number for the board is 5303918556. Read More...
Carlos September 11, 2016 for Model Number FPHC2398LF3 Our Frigidaire Fridge Dispenser Control Panel (on the door) started to behave erratically. The dispenser light will turn on and off by itself and beeps every time it does, the buttons won't work all the time, but could work only by a second of so and then will be dead again for some time. We turned the Fridge Off using the panel button and it will not turn on again because the button will not work, until I pressed and turned it on because the panel worked by a micro-second. It appears the panel dies and then come back to life for a brief moment and does that intermittently. The Fridge is working fine (Cools and freezes, internal lights turn on and off, etc..). The control panel calmed down when I pressed the keypad lock button and the dispenser light is not turning on and off by itself now while the Fridge is working fine. While the display control is locked, we can not use the Water/Ice dispenser and there is no info showing on the 2 displays. I have a feeling that replacing the Board-Control (part number AP5325143 / 241973712) will solve the issue, but I wanted to ask you first in case you think it may be a secondary problem of something else. Thanks in advance.
1 Answer Carlos, The most likely cause for the issue that you are having would be the dispenser control board 241973712. Read More...
C.G. August 26, 2016 for Model Number FPHB2899LFB We are getting the "SY CF" code on the display and it's not cooling anymore. Upon doing some research, I think it is the Control Board but am not sure. If that is it, how do I know if it is the Board-Control or the Board-LED power? So that I'm not wasting money changing unnecessary parts. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello C.G. Yes it sounds like you need to replace the main board 242115240 on the unit. Read More...
Todd December 10, 2014 for Model Number FrigidaireFPHC2398LF3 When pressing either the water dispenser or ice dispenser button on the control panel, neither will disengage...we have water or ice coming out non-stop! The only way to stop it is to press the interior switches repeatedly and the dispense buttons...there is not one solution, therefore I do not know what is the problem...the control panel or a switch. Please help! Thanks - Todd
1 Answer Todd, The mode likely cause for the issue would not be the control but a sticking switch on part number 242074223 which would need to be replaced for this issue. Read More...
Tf June 17, 2014 for Model Number FPHB2899LF8 My husband installed a new board-control in our frigidaire Refrigerator because the power failure alert is light is on and can't be cleared, and nothing else on the control pad will work until this can be cleared. This is the part we were told by Appliance Parts Pros would need to be replaced. However, the first one my husband installed has the same issue. So I checked with Appliance pros and they stated is could be bad and sent us a new board - control and we are still having the same issue. we hold down the reset for the power failure alert and it will not clear. What else could be the problem. we need help.
1 Answer TF, The most likely cause for the dispenser board showing a PF would be intermittent power in which this would be caused by a faulty control board. The dispenser control board would not be the correct board but the Main control board 241891607 would be the issue. Read More...
