This refrigerator control board is the central electronic module that manages key appliance functions for consistent temperatures and dependable operation. A failed board can cause no-cool conditions, unstable temperatures, or unresponsive controls; replacing it restores proper function. What it does:

  • Interprets inputs from temperature sensors and user settings to run the appliance correctly
  • Distributes power to components through relays and connectors
  • Coordinates cooling and, on applicable models, defrost and fan operations
  • Common failure signs can include no or intermittent cooling, warm temperatures, frost buildup, clicking from the control area, or unresponsive controls
What's included:
  • 1 control board
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the refrigerator before servicing
  • Use ESD precautions; handle the board by the edges only
  • Photograph wiring; move connectors one at a time, ensuring keyed orientation and full seating
  • After reassembly, restore power and allow up to 24 hours for temperatures to stabilize

Questions & Answers

For Frigidaire Electronic Control Board (Refrigerator) (Part Number: OEM13697664)

Marty, as the water dispenser will work, the failure could be in the main control 5303918538 rather than in the dispenser control. It would be recommended that the auger motor 242221501 is tested for 120VAC when the dispenser is pressed and the door switch is taped closed. If there is not voltage, the main control would be the issue. If there is voltage, the auger motor has failed.

I have a Frigidaire side by side model FGUS2642LF1. I have an issue with the water dispenser continue to run on occasion after the dispenser lever is released. You have to pull the lever back to make it stop. I looked and curious if it would be the board control - AP4565885 or the dispenser unit. AP5952230 All the controls work fine and when you switch from ice to water the ice will dispense. Sometimes will dump a lot of ice. This is currently only happening random. since both parts are pricy like to get the right one.

Lianne, Unfortunately, we do not carry anything for Insignia Brand products and would not have any information on this model. It sounds likely that you will need an ice maker board based on the model.

Hello Rich, If you cannot hear the auger motor running you will need to pull out the ice container and heat the auger motor with a hair dryer for 15 to 20 minutes on a medium setting. If this frees the motor up and causes it to run you will need to look for and correct an air leak around a door seal or at the ice door. If you do hear the auger motor running, the motor shaft and/or the yoke are stripped and will have to be replaced.

I have a Frigidaire Refrigerator Model LGUS2642LF2. The freezer light is on. the frig side is off. the unit still cools. front control panel dead. I tried a power cycle but when I did everything died. I was told to replace the main control board. part number 5303918538. When I replaced the board and hooked everything back up it was still dead. by accident I removed the smallest harness on the board. immediately the frig came back on, but the frig side light was still out and freezer side light came back on, unit started to cool again. I thought cool. plugged the smallest harness back in and it immediately died. pulled it back out and it works again. Thought?

Eddie, With the lights in the refrigerator not lighting up you would want to check the door switch on the unit. Also check to make sure that the bulbs are good. For the issue with the board it sounds likely that you go a faulty control board on the unit.

Bob for Model Number FGUS2642LF2

Last night, my water dispenser failed to work. I noticed the light was out in the fridge side, but still on in the freezer. All functions of the dispenser board seem to not work. It is giving an error code SY CF. Cycling power doesn't help. The refrigerator seems to continue to work (compressor, fan). I haven't tried the ice maker. (We don't put much of a demand on the ice maker). I would like to be somewhat sure of what to purchase/replace. Any troubleshooting ideas?

1 Answer

Bob, This would be a communication error and will want to check the wiring between the main board and user interface. If this checks ok then you would want to replace the dispenser control board.

Juno, At the bottom of the door you will want to disconnect the tubing and push the dispenser door and see if water comes out. If it does then the water line is frozen. This would require thawing out the water line. If it is not then this would likely be a issue with the water valve.

Molly, There may be more than 1 thermistor in the refrigerator sections and you will want to check to make sure that all the thermistors check good for resistance. At room temp they should read around 5K ohms of resistance.

Rob, This issue would most likely be a stuck relay on the control board and would need to replace the board to correct the issue.
