Marty December 22, 2020 for Model Number LGUS2642LF2 The dispenser will dispense water. You can select crushed or cubed but when you press the lever, only the dispenser light comes on. No power to auger motor or dispenser solenoid. Replaced the dispenser control but same thing. Is this one of things where you have to change the main board along WITH the interface. I remember reading something about compatibility issue????
1 Answer Marty, as the water dispenser will work, the failure could be in the main control 5303918538 rather than in the dispenser control. It would be recommended that the auger motor 242221501 is tested for 120VAC when the dispenser is pressed and the door switch is taped closed. Todd November 02, 2020 for Model Number FGUS2642lf1 I have a Frigidaire side by side model FGUS2642LF1. I have an issue with the water dispenser continue to run on occasion after the dispenser lever is released. You have to pull the lever back to make it stop. I looked and curious if it would be the board control - AP4565885 or the dispenser unit. AP5952230 All the controls work fine and when you switch from ice to water the ice will dispense. Sometimes will dump a lot of ice. This is currently only happening random. since both parts are pricy like to get the right one.

Rich February 16, 2019 for Model Number lgus2642lf2 Water dispenses properly, however, no ice, cubed or crushed will come out. When pressing dispenser for ice, a click is heard but no ice dispensed. The ice maker is creating ice. Front board appears to work correctly. All lights and switches appear to work. Defrosted freezer once, but didn’t help solve the problem.
1 Answer Hello Rich, If you cannot hear the auger motor running you will need to pull out the ice container and heat the auger motor with a hair dryer for 15 to 20 minutes on a medium setting. If this frees the motor up and causes it to run you will need to look for and correct an air leak around a door seal or at the ice door. The freezer light is on. the frig side is off. the unit still cools. front control panel dead. I tried a power cycle but when I did everything died. I was told to replace the main control board. part number 5303918538. When I replaced the board and hooked everything back up it was still dead. by accident I removed the smallest harness on the board. immediately the frig came back on, but the frig side light was still out and freezer side light came back on, unit started to cool again. I thought cool. plugged the smallest harness back in and it immediately died. pulled it back out and it works again. Thought?

Bob October 22, 2018 for Model Number FGUS2642LF2 Last night, my water dispenser failed to work. I noticed the light was out in the fridge side, but still on in the freezer. All functions of the dispenser board seem to not work. It is giving an error code SY CF. Cycling power doesn't help. The refrigerator seems to continue to work (compressor, fan). I haven't tried the ice maker. (We don't put much of a demand on the ice maker). I would like to be somewhat sure of what to purchase/replace. Any troubleshooting ideas?

Juno December 10, 2017 for Model Number FGUS2642LF0 The ice maker works, ice dispenser mechanism works, the crush ice switch works, but the water doesn't dispense. The filter is good and has been changed anyway, but problem persists. I can hear a pump engage when the water/ice lever is pressed. I suspect there's a switch governing the water that isn't working. Help?
1 Answer Juno, At the bottom of the door you will want to disconnect the tubing and push the dispenser door and see if water comes out. If it does then the water line is frozen. Molly J March 13, 2017 for Model Number LGUS2642LF2 Refrigerator is freezing everything. The damper was staying open so I changed that and the thermistor and thought that would work. It did not. I changed the main board underneath the fridge and it still didn't change anything. The fridge temp on the display board shows its 60 and the freezer is -12. There is no way the fridge is that warm when everything is frozen solid. Please help me figure out what else could be causing this.
