Dave, The most likely cause for the unit having a clicking noise and the lights going on and off would be a faulty control board.

Roger for Model Number LGHS2667KE0

Hi, I ordered the 5303918498 (AP4695205) main control board for my fridge since the old control board left a SY CE error. I also ordered the door circuit board and replaced that as well. The old Main control board would click. After installing the new board, the fridge doesn't even power on. Is it possible that the new board is bad or the wires to connect to the existing wires could be something wrong with them? Otherwise I have no idea why it won't power on at all now but still does with the old damaged board. Thanks

Roger, It is possible that you may have received a mispackaged control board but there have been some issues with the control board and would recommend contacting the manufacturer to make sure that the part number you received is the correct one and let them know of the issue with the unit not powering on after installing. Also try to install not using the wire harness that came with the control board if possible.

John, With a new sensor not correcting the issue with the refrigerator not getting cold enough, this issue would most likely be caused by the control board of the unit.

To access the main control board you would need to remove the kickplate at the bottom of the unit. With the kickplate removed you will then look under the unit on the left side opening and the control board is in the gray box that is held by one 1/4" screw.

Glenn for Model Number LPHS2687KF0

Subject : Frigidaire Refrigerator LPHS2687KF0 This issue started with a SY CE message identified as a communication error by your site and others. When unplugged and plugged back in it would try to start then would trip a relay on the switch board. Eventually shutting down completely displaying the CE. I ordered a P/N 5303918498 from you to replace the original P/N 242000406. I swapped them out and now I get nothing at all. It goes back to the original failure when I re-install the original board. If the problem was something other than the board I would have expected a duplicated error. Any thoughts?

Hello Glenn. It sounds like you need to check the wiring and make sure it is good. Also, you may need to replace both the dispenser and main board in the unit. This is a suggestion from the manufacturer for the error code provided.

Dawn C for Model Number LGHS2667KE0

The auto-frost is not working. Ordered a new board switch (part #242000406 - which is a replacement for part #5303918498), when installed the fridge doesn't power on. If I put my old board back in, then it powers on just fine. Tech thought we could have gotten a bad board so we ordered another one. After installing the second board, the fridge still does not power on. When I put my board back in, it powers on just fine. Two techs say we have the correct board and have no other ideas on why these new boards will not work. Any suggestions? The fridge is only 3 years old:(

1 Answer

Dawn, It may be possible that the board was mispackaged at the warehouse and you would want to get another one. Also see if the original harness will connect directly to the board.
