Josh, First check that the doors are closing and sealing properly, then check the shelves, make sure the articles are not hanging over the edges, or against the wall. Then check to make sure the sensor and sensor box are not blocked by an article or the air is not being redirected away from the sensor. Dismount the box, and check for loose connections or corrosion on the connector pins. If all's OK then replace the control board.

Joe, Yes the SY CF is a communication error and would most likely be caused by a faulty main control board.

My dryer had stopped running so I hire a technician to diagnose the issue. He said the problem was the control board. I replaced the control board of my Frigidaire dryer with a new one (I checked so I know that the part number is correct). However, with the new control board my dryer won't even display anything or turn on (with the old control board in I could see the display even if the dryer wasn't working). Does a Frigidaire dryer control board come with the software installed so it works after installation or is there an additional step need to make the control board active? What do you guys think I'm might be doing wrong? Thanks, Claude

Communication errors, SY CF & SY CE, indicate that the Main Control Board and User Interface are not interacting accordingly. SY CE : Communication Error - Communication between User Interface and Main Control Board was established at last POR, but then lost while the unit was in operation. If the Main Control Board is not able to communicate with the User Interface, the Fresh Food lights will be off. If an incompatible replacement User Interface and Main Control Board are installed, 12VDC will be present at RED and BLK wires to User Interface but the unit will not operate. Remove left hinge cover and verify 12VDC between RED and BLK communication wires (cabinet side). If voltage is correct, verify continuity of WHT communication wire between the Main Control Board and User Interface. Also, verify there is no continuity between cabinet ground & WHT communication wire. If voltage is not correct, access the Main Control Board. Locate J9-A connector on Main Control Board and check for 12VDC between RED and BLK wires. If voltage is correct at Main Control Board, check for loose connections, backed out connector pins, or broken wire between the Main Control Board and User Interface. Repair wire, if possible, and retest. After you perform the above checks and verify the wiring, the user interface board 241973711 may be needed.

Angela, With the unit making a clicking noise you will want to check the compressor to ensure that the noise is not coming from the relay on the compressor. If it is not then the control board would be the issue.

John L for Model Number LGHS2665KF0

While moving the refrigerator to the garage and powering it up the unit starts with lights in freezer and refrigerator on. However, the temperature display did not light up. Thinking that I might have a connection to main board loose, I looked and noticed the J9 A1 terminals connection disconnected and that actually a pin was broken. So, I ordered a new board (AP4695205) and plugged it in. The unit clicked and did nothing else. Just to be sure nothing else was wrong I plugged the old board in and it was the same as before, i.e,, everything worked except the temperature display. Thinking that I might I have a bad board I contacted you guys and was sent a replacement. When I plugged in it was same as before, nothing. Once again I plugged the old board back in and everything works except the temperature display. Any suggestions? By the way, I also unplugged the J9 A1 connection on the new board to see if it would behave like the old board (i.e, works but no temperature display). It did not as it would the unit no power at all. Why isn't the new board behaving like the old board?

John, In regards to this issue, there has been some problems with getting the correct board part number for your unit from the manufacturer. They recommend trying to connect with or without the harness that comes with the unit. If this still does not correct then try to contact the manufacturer to make sure that the correct board part number is being received for your unit.
