Debbie for Model Number FFEF3013LWG

Based on reviewing your questions and answers it appears my Electronic Oven Control board died. I ordered part #316455400 and the overlay. I watched the video and was able to pretty easily install it. My question now is whether it's normal to hear a few clicks when I select bake or broil. I don't recall if I heard clicks with the old control board. Both elements now heat up and turn red. And everything seems to be ok other than the few clicks. Thanks, Debbie

1 Answer

Debbie, the relays in the control will create a clicking sound when they are opening and closing. This would certainly be normal.

Hello , I have a electric Frigidaire stove it all works good beside the oven and worked perfectly fine right up to 12pm last night . Turned it on today to pre heat before I placed food in there waited about 20 minutes and when I went to put food in everything was cold .. oven haven’t worked today . Stovetop works fine and the display screen works fine ... what would you suggest me to look at when coming to fixing it . So my oven won’t heat up at all. And I’ve noticed a little green light once I hits the bake button the second time up over the set temperature in the oven .. please help

Chelsea, First visually inspect the bake and broil element in the oven cavity, make sure they aren't damaged or broken. Since the top burners and control works, we know you have the proper 220-240 VAC to the range. You will need to remove power to the range, move the range out to access the back of the console and check the EOC/Clock wiring and relays for damage or failure, and voltage to the oven elements. Please include the model number of your product on your next post so we can advise you of the test points and checks to make, efficiently. Thanks,

Brenda, the bake and broil elements will need to be tested for any grounded connections by testing for continuity from each terminal to ground. If an element tests as having continuity to ground when the wires are removed, the element would need to be replaced. Aside from that, a grounded wire or a failed relay in the main control 5304518661 would be likely.

Denny, L1 will be the black wire coming from the terminal block, L2 will be red, Bake will be yellow, Broil will be the second black wire, and Out will be orange.

Geoffrey for Model Number FEF339FSC

Half way through cooking the oven went cold, the light was still on, the top ceramic hobs and the info screen and buttons are working. Looking at you videos I took the back off and tested the Broil and bake elements and have continuity. I tested the RTD and was getting 1120 ohms at approx room temp. The control board has the number 316455500 on it but I cant seem to find it anywhere, there is a board 316455400 which looks similar but not sure if it will work. Any assistance will be appreciated, I live in Barbados and there is no spares available. Regards Geoff

1 Answer

Geoffrey, the part number of the control for your model is going to be [316455400]. You may also want to use a new overlay [316220728] since the adhesive backing on the overlay does not transfer well when being removed from a control board.

Nik, We wouldn't recommend a new control, at this point. The post information would indicate a faulty 316233903 / 316233902 Oven Temperature Probe. Quite often the sensor can and will test proper at room temperature, however at higher temps. or extended periods of baking/broiling the sensor can become erratic. If you haven't yet, check the wiring and the connections on the sensor probe and at the EOC, then replace the sensor if all's OK.
