1 Answer Ryan, The E9 would indicate an open thermistor. You will want to check the thermistor for an open circuit and the wiring between the thermistor and the main control board. If correct replace the thermistor 297018400. Read More...
Amy March 20, 2013 for Model Number 283.28432800 Hi! I purchased a new control board for our freezer because it started beeping on Sunday and the light came on saying the door was ajar. It is not ajar. So I looked up the part and found what I needed. We received it today and I popped it in and it is still doing the same thing. I chatted with a customer service person who was helpful and tried to locate an instruction manual of some sort since nothing came with the part. I assumed it was pretty easy installation. So I was wondering if there was anything you could tell me as to why the beeping and light are still coming on. Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Amy. Check the door switch in the unit and see if it is bad. If so, it will cause the issue you are having with the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
