Pops December 18, 2013 for Model Number Frigidaire FWT449GFS0 (1999?) The washer is not emptying water properly. I have tried routing the drain hose to a bucket sitting on the floor while it's trying to spin and only a slow stream of water comes out. (About a 1/2 inch diameter stream) The parts diagram shows one pump (35) but the list shows both a Drain Pump & Pump and Motor Assembly. Are there in fact two pumps? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Pops. If the hose is clear, and the filter is not clogged, you will order and replace part number 131268401. Read More...
Michael December 02, 2013 Fridgidaire washer. Final spin doesn't spin fast like it is supposed to. Makes a loud kind of buzzing sound & will spin slowly. Also doesn't drain. Cleaned out filter & hose. When I tried the final spin again I still have the buzzing sound & slow spin. Does the pump motor control the spin speed? Thanks.
1 Answer Michael, The pump motor does not tell the unit to spin fast but if the unit is not draining then it will not spin fast. If there is a buzzing noise then it is possible that the pump is faulty and not draining well enough for the unit to go into full speed spin. If the water is draining completely then it most likely would be a faulty speed control board. Read More...
Isaac November 21, 2013 for Model Number Frigidaire fwt645rhso When I do a full load of wash I get a puddle of water in front of the machine. If I do a partial load everything works fine. What would cause this?
1 Answer Hello Isaac. You will need to look and see if the water is overfilling or if a hose has a slow leak and only shows up on the large loads. Remove the toe panel and run the unit and look for leaks. Read More...
Jennifer H November 05, 2013 I have a Frigidaire front load washing machine that is about 7 years old. About a week ago it started sounding like there was something knocking around in the spin basket with the clothes. After the load was done I found a couple of golf tees. It stayed loud for a few days and then the noise stopped. Now the spin basket seems to scrape at the bottom and it doesn't drain completely on the final spin. What does it sound like it may be and what would be a fair price to fix it? Thank you.
1 Answer Jennifer, You will want to check the drain pump for the golf tees being stuck inside causing the drain issue. Also the scraping noise may be wedged golf tees in side the tub. Unfortunately we cannot give a price for repairing as we are an online parts supplier and do not have access to service charges as each company would charge different prices. Read More...
Intmd8r 333 November 04, 2013 for Model Number 134734000 Won't spin out water, it starts to spin then it just shut's completely down?
1 Answer Hello Intmd8r 333. You need to make sure the pump is not clogged and the door lock is good on the unit. Either part can cause the issue you are having with the unit. Read More...
Milesmac August 14, 2013 for Model Number Kenmore 970-C42162-00 While cleaning the drain hoses and pump to get rid of the horrible smell that always occurs, the rubber flap at the water outlet valve snapped. Is that piece available separately?
1 Answer Milesmac, Unfortunately the flapper is part of the drain pump and cannot be gotten separately. Read More...
Dan July 21, 2013 for Model Number Frigidaire CRTF1240 My pump motor burned itself out because it won't shut off. I replaced the timer and the pump, but it still won't stop. I start the washer, the tub fills, it washes the clothes, then when it goes is switching to the rinse cycle, the pump starts, drains the tub, but never stops. What can I check besides the timer?
1 Answer Dan, You will want to check the pressure hose and air dome on the unit to make sure that the dome is not clogged and that the pressure hose is not clogged or kinked. If not then the pressure switch would be the most likely cause of the drain pump to continuously run. Read More...
Rick June 22, 2013 for Model Number ftfb4000fs Our frontloader wouldn't drain so we cleaned the drain pump and the coin catcher, put it all back together now it won't fill. What could we have missed when we put it back together?
1 Answer Hello Rick, The most common thing to overlook that will cause this issue is if you forgot to plug the door switch back in. This is, of course, if you pulled the main front panel. Otherwise, if you turned the water off to the unit, it is common to forget to turn it back on. You might want to remove the front bottom panel to check to see if anything got pulled loose. Also, if you removed the hose from the pump on the side that connects to the outer tub, there is a hose that connects to a plastic adaptor that must be connected properly. This is the pressure switch connection. Without it, the unit will either not fill or it will fill infinitely. Read More...
Rick June 21, 2013 for Model Number ftfb4000fs My washer won't drain we cleaned the dainage pump, but it still won't drain. How do we clean the filter and were is it.. do we need a new drainage pump
1 Answer Rick, If you cleaned the drain pump then you would have also had the filter right there. There is not a separate filter from the pump and if the unit is still not draining then you will want to make sure that the impeller of the drain pump is does not spin freely but has a magnetic jump to it. If it spins freely then the impeller shaft is bad and you will need a new drain pump. Read More...
