Gene June 20, 2013 Can I buy a cover for my drain pump. It is a frigidaire dishwasher. I am afraid something will fall down the drain.
1 Answer Hello Gene! Unfortunately, we do not have such an item available. We only have parts listed that the manufacturer offers. Sorry about that! Read More...
Phil March 04, 2013 for Model Number fdbb2040fs1 Hello. Slow and no draining of dishwasher. Checked drain hose. Ok. I tested drain pump and seemed to work fine when connected it directly to 120 power. I took off plastic part of drain pump and now it continues to leak. So, I'm thinking of just ordering a new pump and seeing if that takes care of slow drain. Is that part supposed to come off pump to check for clogs in drain pump? thanks.
1 Answer Phil, You are on the right track of replacing pump assembly on unit. It is possible for the pump to pump some of the water out but still be bad and not pump all of it out. Since you have already checked for clogs then the pump would need to be replaced. Read More...
Jerry February 18, 2013 for Model Number FDBB4365FCO Hello again, I would like to know if it is normal for the pump motor to have a loud humming that continues after it's drain cycle? Thanks Jerry
1 Answer Hello Jerry. Yes, once the water is drained out, and the pump continues to run, it is normal for a loud humming noise from the unit. Read More...
Calvin February 06, 2013 for Model Number Frigidaire M/N FD82000RFQ1 Our dishwasher is about 6 years old and the drain pump stopped emptying the water from the bottom of the interior. We always rinse our pot and pans as well as our dishes so we think that there is no chance that something has stopped up the drainage of water. What else can cause the problem? Our son is a mechanic and can replace the pump. Your comments will be greatly appreciated. Calvin
1 Answer Hello Calvin. Check for blockages and if none is found, just order and replace the pump on the unit. Makes sure there is power to the pump motor. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
David C. August 25, 2012 for Model Number PLD2855RFC1 The pump will not completely drain the unit, only partially. I want to check the voltage feeding the pump while its draining. Also thought I'd pull wires from motor and connect 120 volts to it and see if if ran (if it takes 120v and not go through a transformer). Thanks so much. David
1 Answer Hello David, The pumps 154580301 on these are rather prone to failure. Before replacing it though, I would remove the hose from it that comes from the tub and see if it is restricted. While this hose is off, reach inside the pump with a small screwdriver to verify that the impeller is still attached to the motor shaft. This is verified by turning the impeller and if it is attached, you will feel the magnetic field of the motor windings. This all, of course, is with power turned off to the unit. If the unit still doesn't drain after the drain lines are verified, the drain pump should be replaced. This is a 120Vac motor. Read More...
Glenn June 25, 2012 for Model Number Frigidaire GLD2250RDC3 Dishwasher How do I change the Drain Pump assembly? Are instructions available? What tools are required?
1 Answer Hi Glen. This is a relitively easy change out. Remove the front panel. The drain pump is in the front of the sump/motor assy. Remove the intake and the drain hose. Then the pump hanger is clipped into a boss area from the tub assy. It is unclipped from there and removed altogether. Pump part # 154580301. Thank You. Read More...
Dusty R June 19, 2012 for Model Number Johnson SN-3125 my frigidaire kicks off and gives a power failure error at the time the water is suppose to drain. Could the pump be defective?
1 Answer Dusty, Yes, the drain pump motor could be at fault or even jammed or clogged with debris. This would cause an increase in the amprage, and cause the machine to shut down and give an error code. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Joey May 24, 2012 for Model Number FDB4315LFCO My dishwasher won't drain. I've clean the hose/and catch basin's. I hear/feel the pump trying to eject water but it doesn't seem to move any. I feel like it's stuck after the catch basin but before the pump. Any thoughts?
1 Answer Hello Joey. If the drain hose is clear, and there is power to the drain pump, and no water is draining, you will need to replace the drain pump assembly 154580301. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Kennon May 16, 2012 for Model Number GLD4355RFB0 My diswasher is 3 years old and worked great but now it is flashing error and the select buttoms on top when pushed blink and go back off. I have been able to get it to quick wash a couple of times but the lid will not open for the soap cube to come out and when it completes the wash the error light starts flashing again. Most of the time the effor light flashes and two or three of the wash buttons flash also.
1 Answer Hello Kennon. Check and make sure the door switches are good on the unit. Also, we need to know the error code you are getting if the switches are not the issue with the unit. Read More...
Jen Model# Fdb2410lds0 April 06, 2012 for Model Number fdb2410lds0 My dishwasher isn't draining. I have run all of the checks, hose is clear, strainer and parts below the arm have been cleaned including taking out the 3 screws and making sure the little wheel would spin, did a bench test on the motor and it ran. I do not know how to check the vanes on the impeller inside the drain pump as was suggested to Jack above, but since it ran for the bench test does that mean it's good? Is there something that I can't see between the motor and the other stuff I disassembled that could be wrong? Thanks
1 Answer Jen, If the drain pump motor runs 154580301 ,then the dishwasher should drain, especially if you've already checked and cleaned all the filters and traps. Unless the vanes on the impeller are damaged and not moving the water, if the check valve flapper( in the outlet of the drain pump is stuck closed or damaged) or there is a restriction/clog in the drain hose from the pump to the drain at the sink. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
