Hello Dan. Check and make sure the float is not stuck in the up position in the unit. If not, and there is power to the pump, replace the control board 154663005. Hope this helps.

Jack, Did you also check and make sure there were no clogs in the drain hose or disposal. Did you check the filters and strainers in the bottom of the tub for debris or deposits. Can you hear the drain pump motor run, if you start, then cancel the cycle. Also, check and make sure the vanes on the impeller inside the drain pump, is not damaged or loose on the motor shaft. Thanks and Good Luck

Shorty, You'll need to check the filter and glass screens for debris and damage or clogs, and then disconnect the drain hose from the disposal or drain pipe and check to make sure theres no clogs or kinks in it. From there you would need to access and remove the drain pump 154580301 and check the impeller for damage and the motor circuit resistance or run the motor on a separate line cord. Thanks and Good Luck

Help...my dishwasher won't drain. The cycle runs, but at the end there is water sitting in the bottom of the tub. Pressing cancel will not drain it either. My plumber said it sounds like it is "trying to" drain, but it's not happening. NOTE: I had a power surge that blew the electrical pannel, the electrician replaced the pannel, and this is what I am left with. I am hoping it is the drain pump/motor or something (anything but buying another brand new one sounds good)

Hi Butch. Pull your drain hose off the end of your sink or aerator connection. Put it into a bucket and then see if it will drain. If not , can you hear the pump motor activating and trying to pump. Your hose may be clogged at the end where it connects to the drain. Or inside the drain pipe there could be a restriction to verify and if so clear out. If you need a drain pump, this part # is 154580301. Thank you.

Hello Jeremy. The first step would be to clean the dishwasher with a cleaner such as Glisten W10549845. After you have cleaned the dishwasher, the next thing to check would be the microfilter below the lower spray arm. After removing the arm, you should have access to the filter. If you are still getting a bad wash, it could be the circulation pump not building the proper pressure to clean the dishes. I hope this info helps!

Jeff for Model Number electrolux/frigidair dishwasher pld2850rdc3

The other day my frigidair dishwasher stopped working. In my best imitation of a man I took it apart to see what was wrong and to fix it. In the end I couldn't find the problem and had to call someone in. It took them a few minutes to find a frayed wire that I missed. In the process of exerting my maleness I took apart the drain pump assembly(AP4019644). It seems that I cannot get the gasket to seal anymore. Is there a trick to getting it to seal, or should I just buy a new one?

1 Answer

Hello Jeff. Check and make sure the gasket is positioned correctly. If so, you will need to replace the pump. Hope this helps.

Stacey for Model Number GLD2440RES1

We just replaced the heating element on our dishwasher. We ran a cycle and the new element works great. At the end of the wash cycle, the dishwasher started making a loud crackling noise. It seems to be coming from the pump. My husband took the pump off, no clogs. He took the pump apart and found 2 ball bearings in the pump. He is wondering if there should be 4? Could having the dishwasher laying on its side while reparing the element do the damage? Or is it a coincidence both parts went out about the same time?

1 Answer

Hello Stacy. If the pump is making the noise, you will need to replace it. It shouldn't have damaged it by laying the dishwasher on it's side. We do not have the number of ball bearings for the pump. Hope this helps.
